Capitol Official Reveals What Caused American Flag to Fly Upside Down

On Wednesday, The WLT Report reported the American Flag located outside of the Capitol building was flying upside down.

If you haven’t already seen the photos of the incident, check them out here:

After flying upside down for some time, the flag was fixed back upright in its normal position.

The bizarre incident went un-reported by much of the mainstream media but Newsweek decided to fact check it and confirmed that the flag was indeed flying upside down.

The news outlet also stated they talked to a Capitol official who claimed the incident was the result of a “broken clip”.

Here’s What Newsweek Reported:

However, Newsweek found that while the photo is real, it is not a cause for alarm.

An official at the Capitol confirmed to Newsweek that the flag was at one point upside down. The official blamed a broken clip and added that the issue was later rectified.

The Capitol official’s story isn’t being bought by many.

Here’s what DC Draino shared:

Was it just a broken clip?
