Carlson is leaving the network, effective immediately.
No goodbye show.
No explanation.
Carlson’s last show aired Friday, April 21st.
America’s most popular TV news personality is suddenly looking for a new home.
Fox News stated:
FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways, the network announced on Monday.
"We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor," a FOX News Media spokesperson said in a statement.
An interim program, "Fox News Tonight," will air at 8 p.m. ET until a permanent replacement for Carlson is named. "Fox News Tonight" will be hosted by a rotation of various Fox News personalities.
The last edition of "Tucker Carlson Tonight" aired on Friday, April 21. The show began airing in 2016.

The network's stock tanked after the announcement of Carlson's exit.

Media outlets will be chomping at the bit to offer Tucker Carlson a slot on their networks.
Just hours after the news broke, Glenn Beck asked Carlson to join Blaze Media.
"We would love to have you here. You won't miss a beat. And together, the two of us would tear it up," Beck said.
"I think that would kill Fox," he added.
"I know so many people that still kinda like Fox and they watch other shows, but they're like Tucker is the only one that I really trust."
"You lose Tucker Carlson, I think that really kills them (Fox)," he noted.
"Where are you going to get the truth?" Beck asked.
"Tucker was the only guy out there that I felt was in the mainstream media that was telling America the truth," he added.
