MTG, Rep. Thomas Massie, And Tucker Carlson Team Up To Start New “Movement”

This is a rather interesting meet-up.

On Saturday, former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene posted a photo of herself, Rep. Thomas Massie, former counterterrorism chief Joe Kent, and Tucker Carlson all together sitting inside of Carlson’s home.

In the caption of the photo, MTG wrote, that Trump “betrayed” us and that “Our commitment is America First for all Americans, right, left, and center.”

She added, “The movement has begun.”

Mediaite reported more on the private meetup:

Former Republicans Majorie Taylor Greene and Tucker Carlson are apparently serious about their plans to launch a new political party — and they’ve got some help too.

Greene posted a picture on Saturday of her and her new husband Brian Glenn sitting at a wooden table headed by Carlson, who was flanked by lame duck Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and another ex-fan of President Donald Trump: Joe Kent, the former director of the National Counterterrorism Center who quit earlier this year in protest of the Iran war. Massie and Kent’s wife are also seated at the table.

Everyone appears to be pretty jolly in the picture — and focused on their mission to upend American politics.

“We said no more foreign wars and we meant it and supported Donald Trump because he made that promise. But he’s betrayed us all,” Greene wrote. “Our commitment is America First for all Americans, right, left, and center.”

“The movement has begun,” Greene capped off her post.

And the gang’s fuel-of-choice for the plotting session? A batch of chocolate chip cookies and milk, based on the spread on the table.

What do all of them have in common?

Well, they have all publicly attacked President Trump on his decision to launch strikes on Iran.

The meet-up comes just a month after Tucker Carlson claimed he was quitting the Republican Party.

MSN reported more on Carlson’s exit from the Republican Party:

Longtime conservative Tucker Carlson says he is now no longer a Republican.

The fed-up former Fox News star offered the update during a Thursday podcast appearance that gained traction online Monday.

‘I’m out,’ Carlson said at a point during the sit-down with hosts Travis Dhanraj and Karman Wong.

‘And if I’m out, then I think a lot of other people are out.’

The pundit had been in the midst of fielding a question about the rapidly approaching midterms – specifically, whether it would offer a glimpse at ‘how the American people are feeling towards [Donald] Trump’.

He prefaced that recent polls ‘tell a pretty clear story.’

‘I would not support the Republican party. There’s no chance I would support the Republican party,’ he suddenly asserted, before arguing that members ‘betrayed’ their base by backing Israel and invading Iran in February.

‘How could I or any American voter support a political party that’s not loyal to the United States? That puts the interests of a foreign country above those of its own citizens?
