First Lady Melania Trump is already preparing for the Christmas season.
And she needs help!
On Monday, First Lady Melania Trump announced she will be accepting applications for volunteers to assist the White House in decorating for Christmas.
Melania is not just looking for decorators either.
She also looking for performers!
The Hill provided details on Melania’s plan to seek outside help:
The holidays are more than four months away, but the White House is already putting out a Christmastime call for volunteers.
First lady Melania Trump kicked off the opening of the volunteer and performer application submission period for this year’s holiday season at the White House on Monday.
“Americans from every U.S. state and territory are invited to apply for the opportunity to assist with decorating or showcase their talents as a performer at the holiday open houses,” according to an announcement from the first lady’s press office.
Every year, hundreds of volunteers typically help to deck the halls and add some festive touches to the White House as part of its holiday décor. The White House hosts tens of thousands of visitors during the holiday season.
“Every detail” featured in last year’s theme, “Home is Where the Heart is,” was personally chosen by Trump, White House officials said at the time.
The First Lady Melania has a history of knocking it out of the park when it comes to decorating the White House, unlike Jill Biden.

Christmas planning is underway at the White House, and President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are excited to continue the cherished tradition of welcoming volunteers to help celebrate the holiday season at the People’s House.
Starting today, applications are open for those interested in volunteering for 2026 Christmas at the White House. Americans from every U.S. state and territory are invited to apply for the opportunity to assist with decorating or showcase their talents as a performer at the holiday open houses.
The deadline to submit a volunteer application is Friday, August 28, 2026 at 5:00 PM ET. Selected applicants will be notified by Friday, October 2, 2026 at 5:00 PM ET. Please note that all selected volunteers are responsible for their individual travel, accommodations, and personal expenses.
VOLUNTEER CHRISTMAS DECORATOR APPLICATION
Those interested in volunteering to decorate the White House ahead of the Christmas Season may apply HERE.Please note that any individual applying to volunteer at the White House must be 18 years of age or older to participate. Each person must apply individually; group applications cannot be accepted. Decorating will take place during the week of Monday, November 23 through Sunday, November 29, 2026.
