Even though far-left extremists have been winning primaries nationwide and some of the Democrat Party’s biggest voices seem to be fully on board with a socialist takeover, the same cannot be said for the trend in Florida.
And to her credit, the state’s Democrat Party chair has a pretty good grasp on what makes those policies so unpopular with so many Floridians.
As Breitbart reported:
“How is this conversation between your front running gubernatorial candidates who are very centrist, very moderate Democrats, and some of the party’s real progressive Democrats who are running against them, looking for attention, and kind of have a national wave at their back?” Fried was asked.
ADVERTISEMENT“You nailed it on the head. Florida’s different. The coalitions that have to be built here in Florida are different,” Fried said, admitting that many of the people in the Sunshine State actually escaped communist and socialist regimes.
“You know, we have hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people that call Florida home, that left communists and socialists and authoritarian regimes to find a better way of life here in the state of Florida,” Fried said, explaining that any candidate who wants to win in Florida has to “build a coalition.”

She’s not the only Democrat warning about the shift to the left, however, as Colorado Politics reported:
The ideological divide within the Colorado Democratic Party once more burst into the open on Wednesday when Gov. Jared Polis responded to a legislator’s criticism by referencing Zimbabwe’s socialist experiment.
“Thanks to socialism, the average Zimbabwean became a trillionaire,” the governor posted on X, using his personal account, referring to the oft-repeated sarcastic jab at the African nation, which experienced one of the worst inflationary arcs in history under Robert Mugabe.
Polis was responding to Rep. Yara Zokaie, D-Fort Collins, who said the governor is scared of socialists because of his wealth.
