One of the most relentless grassroots organizers in the Republican Party has had enough of waiting.
Scott Presler marked day 200 of his public campaign demanding that Senate Majority Leader John Thune move the SAVE America Act — and then turned his attention to a Republican senator he says will not support it.
The milestone post exploded across X, drawing more than 200,000 views in a matter of hours:

Presler has built his reputation by doing the unglamorous work too many political professionals avoid: registering voters, organizing volunteers, and showing up in places Republicans once wrote off.
Now he is using that grassroots credibility to put public pressure on Senate Republicans over a bill President Trump has repeatedly identified as a top election-integrity priority.
Congress.gov describes the SAVE Act as legislation requiring documentary proof of United States citizenship when a person registers to vote in a federal election. The House passed the measure and sent it to the Senate, where the fight has repeatedly run into the chamber’s 60-vote threshold and unified Democratic resistance.
The bill would amend the National Voter Registration Act and require states to establish a process for applicants to present proof of citizenship. It also directs states to remove noncitizens from federal voter rolls while providing alternative procedures for citizens who lack the standard documents at registration.
Supporters see a basic principle: American elections should be decided by American citizens, and the government should verify eligibility before adding someone to the rolls.
Presler’s Sunday pressure campaign did not stay general. He singled out Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski and told her constituents that she will not vote for the bill.

The response was immediate. That post collected tens of thousands of views, thousands of likes, and more than a thousand reposts as of Sunday evening.
Murkowski has long frustrated conservative voters by breaking with the Republican base on major nominations, impeachment, abortion, and election-related legislation. Presler’s message puts a fresh spotlight on whether she will stand with President Trump and the overwhelming majority of GOP voters who support citizenship verification.
Senate Majority Leader John Thune previously called proof of citizenship and voter identification “commonsense measures” and promised a floor fight over the proposal. He argued that Americans deserve confidence that only eligible citizens are registering and voting in federal elections.
The Senate math remains brutal. Republicans do not have 60 members, and Democrats have shown no willingness to provide the votes needed under the current filibuster rules.
That leaves GOP leaders with a choice: keep searching for a procedural path, force repeated public votes, or accept that one of President Trump’s biggest election priorities will die in a Republican-controlled Senate.
Presler is now pushing a new route. In a direct reply to Senator Rand Paul, he called for attaching SAVE America Act funding to another budget-reconciliation package.

Reconciliation cannot magically erase every Senate obstacle, and the parliamentarian would determine which provisions satisfy the chamber’s budget rules. But Presler’s demand captures the anger building among Republican voters: use every available lever and make every senator own the result.
This is bigger than one activist’s social-media streak. Presler is giving voice to millions of voters who watched Republicans campaign on election integrity and now expect action while the party controls Congress and the White House.
Two hundred days is long enough to know that polite reminders are not moving the bill.
Presler just made sure Republican holdouts feel the heat.
