With Stephen Colbert’s show canceled and Jimmy Kimmel on his annual sabbatical, Jimmy Fallon is the only one of the three network late-night hosts still on the job this summer.
And as the closest to apolitical of any of the trio, one recent monologue was a reminder that Greg Gutfeld isn’t the only host taking shots at Democrats during that time slot.
Of course, it was far gentler ribbing than the Fox News host typically offers, but Breitbart highlighted what the “Tonight Show” host said about Joe Biden’s forthcoming autobiography:
Left-wing host Jimmy Fallon poked fun at former President Joe Biden’s age and upcoming memoir with a barrage of jokes during the most recent episode of NBC’s The Tonight Show. “The book is about what Biden remembers from his presidency… so it’s three pages,” Fallon quipped.
ADVERTISEMENT“Former President Joe Biden just announced that he’s written a book about his presidency that’s coming out in November,” the TV host said during Wednesday’s monologue on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
“The book was written by a ghost writer — Joe Biden,” Fallon joked, making fun of the former president’s age.
The late-night host went on to quip, “It’s the second book Biden has written. The first was The Odyssey,” in reference to the ancient Greek epic poem, written between the 8th and 7th centuries BC.
But jokes about Biden’s age are about as low-hanging as the fruit gets for those in Fallon’s profession.
And his recent jokes at the former president’s expense haven’t been enough to shift the general sentiment regarding the state of late-night TV:
too late. All of these late night “comedians” covered for him. Now, they’re all getting exposed.
Late Night is DEAD.

The New York Post added this:
Fallon then brought former Vice President Kamala Harris into his bit and added, “It’s kind of a strange book because toward the end it starts being written by Kamala Harris.”
ADVERTISEMENTFox News Digital reached out to representatives of the former president for comment about the jokes but didn’t immediately hear back.
Biden announced the book in a video posted to X Wednesday.
He added that he has been receiving treatment for his cancer diagnosis and that it has been going “really well.”
“It’s about the challenges we face as a nation and about the decisions I made and why I made them, leading the country through COVID, rebuilding our economy and restoring our democracy after the attack on January 6th, ending our nation’s longest war in Afghanistan, strengthening NATO and supporting Ukraine,” Biden said.
Lindy Li, a former top Democratic fundraiser, said Biden was only doing himself a disservice by promising the public another explanation of why he decided to run for re-election in 2024 despite mounting concerns about his age and cognitive performance.
