Whereas the mainstream media was silent during four years of Joe Biden’s obvious cognitive decline, many of the same reporters are perfectly willing to pretend they’re doctors now so they can opine on what is supposedly wrong with President Donald Trump.
Among the worst violators, according to the president, is New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman.
Trump and Haberman have butted heads repeatedly in the past, and his most recent remarks hinged on her latest comments about his health.
As The Hill reported:
In a lengthy Truth Social post on Saturday, Trump lashed out at Haberman after she questioned his mental clarity following a series of recent gaffs, including him calling Iran the “Islamic State of Japan.”
“Maggot Hagerman has covered me incorrectly for ten years,” he wrote. “She has made a living off her bad reporting, and will pay the price when our Multi Billion Dollar Lawsuit against The Failing New York Times gets to Court.”
The president defended his health, saying he had recently undergone a physical examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and requested an additional cognitive exam.
“I just finished a perfect physical at Walter Reed, I do it every six months, and I requested another Cognitive Test, the only President to do so, three times, and I aced them all,” he said. “Few people in Washington, D.C., could do so, including Maggot and her flunky associate, Jonathan Swan.”
The fued spilled over into the social media comments:
anyone have links to Maggie's reporting on Biden's obvious mental deficit for four years?

If it's any consolation, nobody believes anything in The New York TImes anymore. pic.twitter.com/7sQCPpqU5L

Trump is going all of the time, anyone, any age on his schedule would have a few mis speaks. His mind goes a million miles per hour & he’s 80. I honestly don’t know how he does it.

Here’s more on Haberman’s remarks, per RealClear Politics:
MAGGIE HABERMAN: Well what we’ve seen over time is that clearly a lot of people do have that concern. You hear from people the same as we do. His health is like a black box inside that administration, much more than almost any other issue.
And if there is an area of failure in the reporting for us, it was this. In trying to, not mental per se, but just his health. How he is, why he has gone to Walter Reed several times and they have released less and less information.
We see what you see, which is he is 80, which is that he is clearly, you know, doesn’t speak with the same crispness that he did 30 years ago, 20 years ago, 10 years ago, as people who turn 80 tend not to. There was nothing, I will say, in our interview with him, which was a fact-checking interview, this the one that Jonathan was referring to, where we were handed the…
EUGENE DANIELS, MS NOW: Which honestly that seems worth the price of the book alone.
CAPEHART: How long was that?
HABERMAN: It was an hour, so actually let me just, let me set the scene for that just for a second. And it does answer your question to some extent. Just in terms of what we know, there was nothing that seemed unlike Donald Trump, of who Jonathan and I have both been around a lot.
We had interviewed repeatedly. There was nothing that felt, oh this is unusual, this is different. It was actually quite the same.
ADVERTISEMENTJust, you know, Steve Bannon refers in the book to pure Trump and this was very much pure Trump. But we walked in and after Jonathan was describing what had happened, you know, we had asked him about presidential power. And he had described himself to somebody, a couple of people, that as far as we knew maybe more than that, as the most powerful U.S. president who had ever existed. And, you know, we were in in a new war after he had campaigned on no new wars, so we wanted to hear what he would say if we put that question to him. And what we got was this two-pager that Jonathan referenced, which he described as being written by a historian. A historian who was a friend of Gary Player, the golfer.
Here’s that full interview:
