Although many of the abrasive Democrat operative’s critics might say he also qualifies for the label, former Bill Clinton adviser James Carville unleashed on a profanity-laced rant against the “left-wing idiots” who have ushered in a socialist wave in his party this election season.
Carville has a reputation for speaking out forcefully against those he disagrees with, regardless of their political affiliation, and this was no exception.
Breitbart provided some coverage of his remarks:
“These people are so fucking stupid, I don’t know what to say about it,” he said in a video appearance for Politicon’s YouTube channel. “So now we have this idea that these insurgent Democrats — and what is their solution? Is their solution to beat Republicans, to run against Republicans? No!”
He continued, “Their solution is to beat Democrats like they’re part of the problem.”
His comments sparked some social media reaction:
💥In this video James Carville lays bare what has gone wrong with the Democrat Party–and he blames it all on Bernie Sanders and his "useful idiots" of the far left. This is not a tirade, it is an autopsy, and it is worth watching: 👇🏼https://t.co/8P624VQDO5 pic.twitter.com/1AUxgfuHwe

HuffPost provided these details:
Carville argued that the Democratic Party isn’t to blame for the swath of dejected voters who have turned to its more progressive wing. He instead railed against Democratic socialists who believe the difference between both “establishment” parties isn’t significant enough.
He then warned voters not to “fall for the allure of false prophets,” singling out Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed (D) for saying the progressive movement doesn’t need “party elites” such as Carville for “changes we have to bring forward in our party.”
ADVERTISEMENT“It’s not both parties’ fault!” Carville exclaimed Friday.
