One of the owners of a fraudulent Minneapolis daycare is facing her day of reckoning.
50-year-old Fahima Mahamud just plead guilty in an over $4 million fraud scheme.
This woman was one of several fraudsters featured in independent journalist Nick Shirley’s viral video exposing Somali-run child care centers in Minneapolis.
She ran the daycare ‘Future Leaders Early Learning,’ which has since been shut down.

Mahamud ran “Future Leaders Early Learning” and STOLE funds originally meant to help children
“Mahamud collected the MOST Child Care Assistance Program money in the state last year at $3.7 MILLION DOLLARS.”
They must ALL be convicted and deported, no mercy!
Mahamud is facing one count of wire fraud and one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States.
CBS News detailed her crimes further:
Prosecutors said Mahamud ran Future Leaders Early Learning and pocketed money meant to feed children during the pandemic. Charges said she received more than $850,000 in fraudulent funds as part of the Feeding Our Future scheme, using most of that money to buy real estate. She also filed separate claims for about $4.6 million from the federal Child Care Assistance Program, according to the Department of Justice.
ADVERTISEMENTMahamud notified the state in February that Future Leaders was closing. That same day, she booked a flight to London, according to prosecutors.

Mahamud has been released on bond, for the time being.
But, ultimately, she is looking at up to a little under 3 years in prison.
Per Fox 9:
Mahamud was released on conditional bond while a pre-sentence report is compiled.
Court documents filed in federal court show that Mahamud ‘s plea agreement included a range of 27-33 months in prison. However, federal judges have final say and can go beyond or below whatever guidelines are in the plea agreement.
