JUST IN: President Trump PARDONS Six People Wrongfully Persecuted for Fixing Their Own Car

This is long overdue!

President Trump is righting the wrongs that happened during the previous, disastrous administration.

In a post on Truth Social, he announced that he is pardoning six individuals who were persecuted under the Biden regime for simply fixing their own cars.

It is my Great Honor to have just signed Pardons for six people who were persecuted by the Biden Administration, and were in, or being sent to, prison, for “fixing their car.” While I know this sounds ridiculous, it is nevertheless a fact, and part of the Weaponization and Stupidity that our Country had to endure during four long years of Sleepy Joe Biden. I AM SETTING THEM ALL FREE, RIGHT NOW! President DONALD J. TRUMP

This could not come at a better time — right before the 4th of July and America’s 250th birthday!

We don’t have many details about the six people that President Trump just freed, but their crimes have to do with the violations of the so-called ‘Clean Air Act.’

CNN reported further:

Trump did not identify those he said had been pardoned or offer more precise details on the allegations they faced.

The president met with senior officials earlier on Friday to discuss the slate of new pardons, a senior White House official told CNN. They said the pardons relate to people who have been convicted of violating the Clean Air Act, a comprehensive federal law that aimed to cut down on emissions and improve air quality.

This isn’t the first action that President Trump has taken to end the Biden-era persecutions.

A few days ago, President Trump signed presidential memorandum bringing back the American people’s rights to fix their own cars.

CBT News summed up that memo:

The order is titled “Lowering the Cost of Living by Promoting the Freedom to Fix.” It directs federal agencies to expand access to aftermarket parts, lower repair costs and support independent shops.

Americans are generally free to repair their own vehicles, but federal law prohibits tampering with emissions-control systems. Automakers have also long restricted independent mechanics’ access to diagnostic software, repair information and specialized tools.

Speaking in the Oval Office as he signed the order, Trump cast it as a cost-of-living win for drivers.

“It means a lot to people that own vehicles, cars in particular, but cars and anything else. It’s going to save them a lot of money, and they’re going to be able to do it themselves.” Trump said.

The memo directs the Environmental Protection Agency to clarify within 30 days which emissions repairs owners may perform. It also seeks to curb California’s authority to regulate aftermarket parts nationwide. Officials are advised to deprioritize enforcement against people who fix their own vehicles.

Watch this clip from President Trump’s Oval Office press conference on the matter:

Last year, President Trump pardoned a mechanic who was jailed for violating the emissions laws.

And, earlier this year, the DOJ dropped all ongoing cases related to the matter.

From CBS News:

The pardons come after Mr. Trump last fall granted clemency to Troy Lake, a Wyoming mechanic who served seven months in prison for violating federal emissions laws for disabling air pollution-control equipment on diesel engines.

Earlier this year, the Justice Department ordered prosecutors to drop all pending prosecutions and investigations related to so-called aftermarket defeat devices, which are used to disable emission controls.
