JUST IN: Democrats are raging after Florida has just BANNED illegal aliens from attending state public colleges, by a 6-1 Board vote

Florida is going maximum based and prioritizing US citizens!
This comes as FL is home to 50,000 THOUSAND illegal alien students.
Florida has also ended letting illegals pay in-state discounted tuition.
Keep pushing! Make Florida unbearable for illegals!
This is a long overdue move that prioritizes Americans over foreign illegals.
To make it official, the Florida Board of Governors will have to approve of the new rule. But, it is not likely to have any difficulty passing.
WCTV reported further:
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis previously expressed his support for the measure, calling it a “slap in the face” to Florida citizens to allow undocumented students to enroll. On Thursday, a coalition of immigrant rights groups decried the move, saying many colleges and universities actually have declining enrollment.
“I would have not had the opportunity to pursue higher education. I would have not had the opportunity to contribute to Florida’s economy, to create jobs, or now to serve the community that I love so dearly,” said Luis Santos, a member of the Miami-Dad County Public School Board.
Technically, the Florida Board of Governors, which oversees the universities, needs to hold another vote to make the policy official. However, the State Board of Education, which oversees colleges and other adult education, already had its vote.
“It requires the universities to verify lawful presence before initial enrollment of students beginning in the 27-28 academic year,” said Emily Sikes, the vice chancellor for Academic & Student Affairs, State University System of Florida
For advocates, the new rules amount to a total ban, including for undocumented students seeking higher education.
Only one board member, who was born to migrants from Brazil, voted against the measure in Tuesday’s vote.
More from the New York Post:
The Orlando Sentinel reported that the only vote against the measure was from member Daniel Foganholi, who the outlet said was a first-generation American born to immigrants from Brazil.
ADVERTISEMENTBut the state board said it did have the authority to implement the rule, citing Florida statutes that pave the way to allow it to create admission criteria, the Sentinel noted.
Higher Ed Drive reported Thursday that, in 2023, the state was home to approximately 50,000 illegal immigrant students, according to the American Immigration Council.
Last year, Florida ended a program that let illegal immigrant students under DACA pay in-state tuition.
What do you think?
Should other states follow in Florida’s footsteps and ban illegal immigrants from attending public colleges and universities?
