Here’s What President Trump Said To ‘AI Teddy’ At Roosevelt Library

After arriving with an escort provided by the famous Rough Riders, President Donald Trump received a thorough tour of the new Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library in North Dakota.

One of the highlights was his conversation with an AI rendition of the 26th president.

The Hill reported on that exchange:

“Every day a president faces storms most people never see, but if you keep your nerve and remember the nation comes first, you get through,” the AI version of Roosevelt said. “I know you know that feeling yourself.”

Trump responded back: “Well, I appreciate those words, those words are fantastic, and I just want to say it’s an honor to be with you today, and we are making a little bit of a tour, some of the fantastic things you’ve done.”

During his tour, he also visited the library’s other exhibits, including looking at Roosevelt’s journals and a gallery of his “Man in the Arena” speech.

The president spoke at the Burning Hills Amphitheatre after his tour, praising Roosevelt for his life.

“He had a freakin’ wild life,” Trump said. “He didn’t want to be quiet. He wanted to be great.”

“He was an American man through and through, his chest swelled with American optimism, confidence, enthusiasm, pride,” he said. “His heart beat with an unyielding sense of America’s destiny and pride.”

The moment captured some attention on social media too:

Here’s some additional coverage of the event, per NBC News:

In delivering remarks at the opening of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library, Trump called Roosevelt “a man who I have long admired,” citing the completion of the Panama Canal, which Roosevelt oversaw.

“And now China is trying to take over the Panama Canal, and we’re not going to let that happen. OK, and that was not part of the script, because I don’t really have a script,” Trump said.

He added that he had a conversation about the Panama Canal with an artificial intelligence hologram of Roosevelt in the new library.

Trump often brought up the Panama Canal after he won a second term, suggesting he could use military force to take it over.

Trump today also brought up the war in Iran and military operations in Venezuela, comparing them to the Panama Canal.
