As socialism regrettably gains a foothold in many areas across the U.S., nations across Europe are so deeply entrenched that America’s remaining freedoms make it a convenient boogeyman for far-left leaders like Paris Deputy Mayor Audrey Pulvar.
She recently took aim at America in a statement blaming this nation’s use of air conditioning for the rising temperatures in her home country.
Without appreciating the irony, she ended her finger-pointing diatribe by claiming her city “takes responsibility.”
As Fox News reported:
“Dear American journalists and social media ‘influencers’: for days, some of you have been criticizing and making fun of Paris because the city does not have A/C in every room. OMG, this is so rich!” she wrote on Instagram Friday.
She added, “As the second-largest emitter of greenhouse gas emissions in the world, you bear a significant amount of responsibility for global warming and the consequences we, in France, are experiencing. Your cities ‘90% air-conditioned’ are not unrelated to this. In Paris, we take responsibility.”
Pulvar, who was elected to her position in March, went on to explain that Paris has implemented measures to fight air pollution and develop energy-efficient renovations for the city, arguing that air conditioning “contributes and aggravates the problem” of global warming.
“If every American city made the same ecological transition efforts as Paris and many European cities, believe me, the whole world would be better off. So please, enough with the lecture. Just start doing your part. Best regards,” she concluded.
In an additional statement on her post, Pulvar defended the left’s efforts in Paris to combat climate change.
The lack of evidence notwithstanding, it’s notable that she called out the supposedly second-biggest polluter but not China, the world leader in emissions.
Her remarks were widely pilloried on social media:
France is straight-up blaming the US for their deadly European heatwave?
China produces ~35% of global CO2 emissions. The US? Only 12%. India 7%. Russia 4%.
A record high-pressure ridge (classic heat dome) is baking Europe right now with new temperature records.

China produces ~35% of global CO2 emissions. The US? Only 12%. India 7%. Russia 4%.

Meanwhile, France’s aging buildings and lack of AC are turning homes into ovens, poor insulation, historic zinc roofs, and resistance to “American-style” cooling.
So why blame the US instead of the biggest emitter? Selective outrage much?
Europe needs real adaptation, not finger-pointing at America.
What do you think , time to call out the hypocrisy?

🚨EUROS BLAME AMERICA FOR HEATWAVE DEATHS: Some Europeans are blaming the United States for climate change, DESPITE their own refusal to adopt air conditioners

Logic? From France? Lmao. Good luck with that.

The New York Post added these details:
France has long been resistant to air conditioning, with only 25% of households in the country equipped with such cooling units.
The reticence to install AC has been attributed to concerns over the environment, the culture, and strict building codes — but the tides have begun changing as summers get hotter and hotter.
The spat between Pulvar and Americans comes amid a record heat wave in Europe, with France experiencing a surge of deaths that have left morgues struggling to keep up.
France has recorded at least 1,300 excess deaths since June 21, the public health agency said Sunday, warning that the final figures could be higher.

LMAO! The Deputy Mayor of Paris is blaming AMERICANS AND OUR A/C for their heat wave
So EPA Admin @EPALeeZeldin HIT BACK:
"The idea that some grandma right now in Georgia should be feeling GUILT or SHAME and she should turn off the A/C is RIDICULOUS."
I just turned my system… pic.twitter.com/HGdaDUSwR4
