Congressman Introduces Bill to BAN Pregnant Foreigners from Entering U.S.

After today’s disappointing Supreme Court ruling on birthright citizenship, Congress is taking matters into its own hands to stop the growing issue of birth tourism.

In case you don’t know, birth tourism is essentially where a pregnant woman from another country like China travels to the United States in order to give birth for the sole purpose of securing dual citizenship for their child.

Now, Rep. Andy Ogles is introducing legislation that would stop this exploitative scheme in its tracks.

His new bill, called ‘Anchors Away,’ would ban pregnant foreigners from entering the United States, int he first place.

He announced it in a video message on X:

Rep. Ogles also spoke to Fox News about the proposed legislation:

Rep. Ogles’ legislation comes after President Trump called on Congress to pursue alternate routes towards ending birthright citizenship.

In response to today’s SCOTUS ruling, President Trump posted on Truth Social:

The Supreme Court upheld Birthright Citizenship, which is too bad for our Country, but we can easily make it up in Congress through Legislation, with the support of the President, that has now been determined during this process. No long and unwieldy Constitutional Amendment is necessary! Congress should start TODAY to work on ending expensive and unfair to our Country, Birthright Citizenship. They will have my Complete and Total Support! President DONALD J. TRUMP

It also comes as the DOJ has ordered federal prosecutors to crack down on birth tourism.

The U.S. Justice Department on Tuesday directed ‌federal prosecutors to prioritize investigations of so-called birth tourism schemes after the Supreme Court rejected President Donald Trump’s attempt to restrict birthright citizenship in the United States.

A senior Justice Department official, Colin McDonald, told employees in a memo that people who come to the United States under “false pretenses” to give birth and secure citizenship for their child ‌could be criminally charged under laws barring visa fraud, money laundering, identity theft and wire fraud.

Rep. Ogles broke down the details of his proposed bill in detail on Benny Johnson’s show:

BREAKING: Rep Andy Ogles just introduced the ‘Anchors Away Act’ which bans certain pregnant women who are seeking to give birth here, from entering the U.S. in response to the Supreme Court’s Ruling:

“You have to create a mechanism where you can challenge a ruling like that.”

“We get to decide who comes into this country, we get to decide who leaves.”

“This is the next step in fighting against the invasion from China and Haiti and all over the world where people are coming to undermine our country.”
