HORRIFIC: Homeless Career Criminal Stabs Pregnant Woman in North Carolina

Another horrific act of violence just took place in the city of Charlotte, North Carolina.

On Monday, a 26-year-old pregnant woman was brutally attacked by a homeless man with a lengthy criminal record named Paul Abdul Hicks.

He allegedly stabbed her with a knife and used his fists, feet and even his teeth during the horrific assault.

Hicks also attacked and seriously injured a 34-year-old man, who was sent to the hospital.

WBTV listed the charges that Hicks is facing for the savage attack:

A Charlotte-Mecklenburg police report alleged that the suspect — later identified as 31-year-old Paul Abdul Hicks — assaulted the 26-year-old pregnant woman and tried to kill her. The report said a 34-year-old man was also assaulted and sustained bad cuts.

The report indicated the alleged assaults happened outside a restaurant but did not specify which one. Several restaurants are in the area, including a Cook Out, Chicken Box Cafe and Dairy Queen.

Hicks was arrested the same day and was charged with the following crimes:

• Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury
• Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill
• Assault on a pregnant woman

Documents showed Hicks was denied bond following his arrest, then again in Mecklenburg County court on Tuesday, June 16. He was appointed a public defender during that same court appearance.

A bond sheet confirmed that Hicks is homeless and had notes that said he has a “criminal history that includes violent offenses,” and labeled him a flight risk due to multiple fleeing convictions.

That same document also called Hicks “a danger to the community.”

This monster’s next appearance in court will be on July 7th.

But, seriously: what in the world is going on in Charlotte, NC?

Notably, this is the same city where crazy, homeless man Decarlos Brown Jr. murdered young Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska last year.

Why is Charlotte releasing so many repeat offenders like these two back onto the streets?
