Although plans for the celebrations leading up to the nation’s 250th anniversary have changed in recent weeks, the White House is setting the stage for what it promises will be an event to remember.
Following the historic UFC fight on the South Lawn on Sunday, President Donald Trump revealed details about a rally scheduled for Independence Day.
The Hill provided this report:
“On July 4th, at The Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument, in beautiful and safe Washington D.C., we are going to host the most spectacular TRUMP RALLY of them all, a ‘TRIBUTE TO AMERICA,’” Trump said in a Monday Truth Social post.
ADVERTISEMENT“Starting at 7 P.M. EST, this HUGE Celebration will honor our Country’s People, Spirit, Strength, Resolve, and Triumphs,” he added.
Trump added that “more than 300 Members of our strong and talented Military Bands, Orchestras, and Ceremonial Units, will perform Patriotic Melodies and American Classics, and my Playlist.”
The rally is also set to include military flyovers and airshows, according to the president, with the event ending with “the LARGEST FIREWORKS SHOW IN HISTORY.”
His post fueled significant social media discussion:

And here’s what the president had to say about Sunday’s event, per the New York Post:
“The fighters were outstanding – Bo Nickal, Justin Gaethje, Ciryl Gane, Sean O’Malley, Josh Hokit, Mauricio Ruffy and Diego Lopes were all unbelievable! Most people have never seen anything like that kind of human speed and power before,” Trump gushed.
“Congratulations to Dana White, and his unbelievable UFC. One of the most exciting days in the history of our fabled White House!”
