Former Border Patrol commander Greg Bovino is exploring a possible presidential run in 2028.
Bovino who retired from the Border Patrol earlier in the year has confirmed he has green-lighted an exploratory committee that will test the waters whether he has support as a potential presidential candidate.
News Nation provided more details on Bovino potentially running for President:
Gregory Bovino, the former Border Patrol commander-at-large who was the face of the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration, has launched an exploratory committee to explore a presidential run in 2028, NewsNation has confirmed.
Bovino, who retired in March after nearly 30 years with the Border Patrol, told NewsNation on Monday that his possible White House run is exploratory “at the time” but said he will move ahead with a formal campaign “if it all comes together.”
Bovino’s exploratory committee launched the website “Bovino2028.com”, which features an image of Bovino wearing a controversial coat that has been described by some as a Nazi-era coat. Bovino previously told NewsNation that the Border Patrol issued the coat and that he has owned it for more than 25 years.
Photos of Bovino wearing the coat have gone viral amid growing criticism around Immigration and Customs Enforcement tactics and the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown. Speaking at the World Economic Forum in January, California Gov. Gavin Newsom described the coat as being “SS garb.”
The logo on the website reads, “House Bovino – Men Fight Back.”
“Following the Commander’s maximum effectiveness in quelling the foreign hordes that have subsumed our nation’s cities, both large and small, the American people witnessed what true leadership, powered by a warrior mindset, actually looks like as The Commander endeavored to restore order and national sovereignty,” the website reads under a headline of “A bold national strategy.”
Here’s a look at some of the images on his site:

His community also launched a “Bovino 2028” website featuring a graphic of Bovino in a long trench coat.

Bovino has since responded to News Nation’s report by writing the following:
NewsNation is reporting I’m exploring a run for President in 2028.
ADVERTISEMENTHere’s the truth: My one and only priority is deporting the 106 million illegals who are here. That’s it.
The grassroots support I’m seeing tells me the polls are completely wrong…
If I’m getting this much energy, it’s probably because 90% of the country wants mass deportations and the media just isn’t asking the right questions.
My commitment is simple, liberate America from this invasion and restore our quality of life.
If running for President is what it takes to actually get it done, then all options are on the table.
House Bovino.
Men fight back.
