BREAKING: Manhunt Underway After Mass Shooting at Festival in Ohio — 12 People Injured


A festival meant for families to gather and enjoy music, food, and other attractions together turned into a nightmare on Saturday.

A dozen people were shot and injured in a horrific mass shooting at the Old West End Festival in Toledo, OH.

Ten of the victims are currently in stable condition, but two are in critical condition. The ages of the victims range from 14-61.

Police are still hunting for the suspect(s).

At least 12 people were shot on Saturday near a festival in Toledo, Ohio, authorities said. Two of the victims are in critical condition.

Authorities believe there may have been multiple shooters, but there are no suspects in custody as of Saturday night.

“It appears as though there were at least two shooters, I think they were probably shooting at each other,” Toledo Deputy Police Chief Joe Heffernan said during a briefing.

The Toledo Police released this statement on the situation:

At approximately 5:37 p.m., Toledo Police officers responded to a report of a person shot in the area of Delaware Avenue and Glenwood Avenue near the Old West End Festival. Upon arrival, officers discovered multiple shooting victims. Many victims have been transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment.

The Toledo Police Department is actively searching for the suspect or suspects involved.

The investigation currently includes scenes in the area of Delaware Avenue and Robinwood Avenue. Residents and visitors are asked to avoid the area and expect a significant police presence as officers continue their search and investigators work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police believe that there were multiple gunmen, and a search is ongoing.

Deputy Chief Joseph Heffernan said during a news conference that investigators believe the shooting involved at least two gunmen.

“They were probably shooting at each other,” Heffernan said.

Investigators said they are actively searching for the suspects involved.

“Many victims have been transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment,” police said in a news release.

Authorities said the victims ranged in age from 14 to 61, with most in their 20s.

“As far as violence, this is over the top,” Investigative Lt. Dan Gerken said during a news conference.

Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz urged residents to remain united in the aftermath of the shooting, while praising first responders for their response to the incident.

“Toledo has faced more adversity over the years than most cities, and our citizens always rally together and pull through,” he said in post on Facebook. “This will be no exception.”

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine also addressed the shooting in a post on X:
