Marking a quarter of a millennium is a big deal, and President Donald Trump has made it clear that he wants America’s 250th birthday bash to be one for the history books.
The scope of the festivities is still taking shape, but a number of entertainers set to perform during the main event surfaced this week to significant public interest.
Here’s what The Hill reported:
Country music star Martina McBride, rappers Flo Rida and Vanilla Ice,“Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)” singers C+C Music Factory and rocker Bret Michaels are among the artists slated to perform at the Great American State Fair, organizers announced Wednesday.

NBC News also covered the latest update:
“The Great American State Fair is America on display and a moment for America to come together,” Freedom 250 chief executive Keith Krach said in a statement.
The fair “will bring together people from all 56 states and territories to celebrate the traditions, innovation, music, military heritage, freedom and entrepreneurial spirit that define our nation,” he added. “The performers, innovators, military heroes, and everyday Americans showcased here represent the very best of who we are, and the boundless opportunity ahead.”
The musical lineup also features ’90s-era rapper Young MC (“Bust a Move”), the soul band the Commodores (“Brick House”) and the funk-rock group Morris Day and the Time (“Jungle Love”)
