As each day goes by Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt becomes more likeable.
In a recent interview with CNN, Spencer Pratt was asked who is his political role model.
Pratt responded to the CNN reporter that Jesus Christ was his role model.
The CNN anchor appearing quite surprised by his answer quickly nudge Pratt to answer the question by sharing who his modern political role model is.
Pratt quickly responded that he doesn’t have any modern politicians as role models.
Fox News provided full quotes from Pratt’s interview with CNN:
Los Angeles mayoral candidate and former reality TV star Spencer Pratt revealed in a new interview that Jesus Christ would top his list of political role models.
During an interview published Wednesday, CNN’s Elex Michaelson asked Pratt, “Who is your political role model?”
Pratt, a Republican who launched his campaign for mayor in January to unseat Democrat Karen Bass, responded, “Jesus Christ.”
Michaelson smiled, and then asked Pratt, a former star on “The Hills,” if there are any modern politicians he views as role models.
“No, I’m not a politician,” Pratt said. “I don’t want to be a politician. I want to be a fighter for the people.”
Pratt then acknowledged that he is “the most similar to Obama.”
Speaking about the interview with Pratt afterwards, Michaelson said that Pratt meant that he was the most similar to former President Barack Obama because “they are both community advocates.”
Asked by Michaelson what word separated him from his competitors, Pratt responded, “Truth.”

Pratt is currently running as an Independent in the Los Angeles mayoral race but is a registered Republican.
The Hill has shared what motivated Pratt to join the Republican Party in the first place and covered what President Trump thinks of Pratt:
On Thursday, Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt said the death threats he received while his reality TV fame was at its peak were what pushed him to join the Republican Party.
Pratt, who entered the nonpartisan race against Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass in January, was known for playing a recurring villain for five seasons on the MTV series “The Hills.”
“When I was a hated reality star, I got so many death threats –– I had so much security and police, and what did they tell me to do?” Pratt told CNN’s Elex Michaelson. “‘Get a gun.’ This is real. I know people don’t like guns, but L.A. was dangerous if you’re hated. So, I got a gun, my wife got a gun.”
He added that he and his wife, Heidi Montag, needed concealed carry weapon permits, and the “only people” who supported these permits were Republicans. Montag and Pratt were co-stars on “The Hills.”
ADVERTISEMENT“That was what I aligned with: my safety, my personal safety and my family’s safety,” Pratt continued. “I know people don’t like guns, but when people are threatening your life and your own security is telling you you need to have home protection –– trained, too … go through the proper steps.”
The mayoral candidate said he knew gun ownership among Angelenos is a “very hot button” topic before adding that he will place Los Angeles Police Department officers to protect every school in the city from gun violence.
Another former reality show star-turned-politician, President Trump, praised Pratt’s presence in the race.
“I’d like to see him do well,” Trump told reporters at Joint Base Andrews for the U.S. Coast Guard Academy Commencement, according to the Los Angeles Times. “He’s a character. I heard he’s a big MAGA person. He’s doing well.”
Here’s Trump giving his thoughts on Pratt:
The New York Times recently put out a poll by Cygnal Political that shows Pratt trailing current mayor of Los Angeles Karen Bass by only 3%.
