President Trump Gives Hilarious Response When Asked if He Will Attend Son’s Wedding

This weekend, Donald Trump Jr. is getting married to his fiancée Bettina Anderson on a private island in the Bahamas.

And today, a reporter asked President Trump if he will be among the guests at his son’s wedding.

President Trump’s answer was just hilarious.

First, he noted that if he attends he’ll “get killed,” but if he doesn’t he’ll still “get killed — by the fake news!”

Then, he said that he’s going to try to make it, though it isn’t “good timing” due to a little thing called Iran.

Watch President Trump’s full response here:

LMAO! Q: “Are you attending your son’s wedding this weekend, by the way?”

PRESIDENT TRUMP: “If I do attend, I get killed. If I don’t attend, I get killed — by the fake news!”

“Uh, he’d like me to go, but it’s going to be just a small little private affair, and I’m going to try and make it. I’m in the midst. I said, you know, this is not good timing for me!” 😂

“I have a thing called ‘Iran’ and other things.”

“He’s got a very good person I’ve known for a long time, and hopefully they’re going to have a great marriage.”

President Trump is a fantastic father and an amazing Commander-in-Chief.

Hopefully, he’ll be able to make it to Don Jr.’s wedding but sometimes, one duty’s gotta take precedent over the other.

On another note, that dude-on-the-right’s bellybutton really stole the show in that clip…

Take a look at some of these replies:

Don Jr. got engaged to Bettina Anderson back in December, following his previous engagement to Kimberly Guilfoyle.

The New York Post provided more background on their Trump Jr. and Anderson’s relationship:

Trump Jr., 48, and Anderson, 39, got engaged in December when he popped the question at Camp David.

The duo started dating in 2024, just as his engagement to former Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle ended.

Anderson is a Palm Beach socialite and model. Her mother is Palm Beach philanthropist Inger Angerson, and her father is late banker Harry Loy Anderson Jr.

Her bridal shower – held at Mar-a-Lago in April – was attended by Ivanka Trump, Lara Trump, Tiffany Trump, and Marla Maples.

The couple weighed a wedding at the White House (wouldn’t that have been amazing?) but ultimately decided they wanted to have a more private ceremony.

It’s understandable that they want to be out of the limelight for such a special occasion.

More from Page Six:

Less pomp, more private island.

Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson will tie the knot over Memorial Day weekend, a source tells Page Six.

We hear the couple will say “I do” in front of a small group of family and friends at an intimate ceremony on a private island in the Bahamas.

Page Six previously reported that Trump Jr. and Anderson were in a hurry to get hitched, with a source telling us in mid-April the pair were set to wed within the next few months.

However, we also heard that, by the end of April, the pair — who were initially eyeing a wedding at the White House — were considering pushing back the big day due to the war in Iran.

“They’re very aware that a lavish wedding at the White House while people are dying wouldn’t be well-received,” an insider previously told Page Six.

Now we’re told that instead of putting off the nuptials as the war drags on, they are simply opting for a much smaller wedding.

Don Jr. was previously married to Vanessa Trump, who he had five children with.

Sadly, we recently found out that his ex-wife has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
