A couple weeks ago, TPUSA journalist Savanah Hernandez was savagely assaulted in Minneapolis by a gang of left-wing “peaceful protestors.”
Thankfully, she was not severely injured, but it was still a terrifying moment that should not happen to anybody.
We brought you the original story here:
TERRIBLE: Conservative Journalist Savagely Attacked By Anti-ICE Protestors in Minneapolis
Three of the left-wing assailants were actually a father, mother, and their daughter. (Families who riot together stay together, I guess?)
For reference, here’s a clip of the family attacking Hernandez:

Now, the Ostouchkos are facing serious federal charges.
All three have been indicted by a federal grand jury.
Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche announced:

Today, Christopher, Deyanna, and Paige Ostrouchko were indicted by a grand jury for allegedly assaulting journalist and Turning Point USA contributor Savannah Hernandez, while she was lawfully reporting on anti-ICE protests outside a federal building in St. Paul.
Hernandez was allegedly surrounded, physically assaulted, and shoved to the ground — simply because she was identified by the defendants as a conservative journalist. That is NOT “peaceful protest.” These deplorable actions as charged in the indictment will not be tolerated in America, and this Department of Justice will always punish unhinged acts of political violence.

The Minnesota Star Tribune shared more specific details on the charges:
Charged April 28 in U.S. District Court were Christopher Ostroushko, 51, and Deyanna Marie Ostroushko, 46, both of Prior Lake; and 20-year-old daughter Paige Ostroushko. The father and daughter were two of the primary verbal and physical combatants who sent Hernandez off her feet, video from numerous sources showed.
The father and daughter were charged with interference with a federally protected activity and assault, while Deyanna Ostroushko was charged with assault. All three were charged by summons and have a May 12 court date scheduled.

Savanah Hernandez responded to the news in a statement on X, thanking the DOJ and FBI for holding her attackers accountable.

Thank you to the DOJ and FBI for doing everything they can to ensure that justice is fully served in this case.
I am incredibly grateful to see our justice system at work.
These people need to be made an example out of.
In no scenario is it acceptable for “protestors” to beat up journalists. Period.
This X user makes an excellent point:
It’s about time the regressive left had some charges filed against them for violence. They’ve been getting away with this on college campuses with conservative speakers for years and I really don’t understand why.
