Dystopian narratives have been emerging from the leftist wasteland of Los Angeles for years, but the city’s ongoing mayoral race is exposing some forms of societal rot that those living outside of Hollywood’s Thirty-Mile Zone might not know about.
Spencer Pratt, known to millions for his lengthy career in reality TV, has turned his attention to politics and hopes to unseat Democratic Mayor Karen Bass.
He recently took to social media in an effort to expose what he referred to as “horrific atrocities” Bass and other municipal leaders like council member Nithya Raman allow to be committed by the city’s homeless population.
The Daily Wire provided some context:
In another video shared to Instagram on Friday, he accused Bass and Raman of “facilitating the torture, mutilation, abuse, and murder of thousands of dogs by crazy drug addicts who breed them for money, set them on fire, [and] conduct Nazi-like experiments.”
Pratt says the dogs become drug testers and are frequently overdosing.
The former star of “The Hills” said that Raman allegedly “walked out” of a recent city council meeting after an animal rescue worker begged for help with the problem.
Pratt also said a rally was happening at The Barkery in Encino on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. to raise awareness and “save our pets from the zombies.”
He’s gone after Bass hard during the campaign, including these posts in recent days:
It’s not shocking for anyone living in LA the last 4 years. This is what “experienced politicians” like Nithya Raman and Karen Bass get you… https://t.co/8czIkbi61d

Nithya is silent about rapists, silent about dog abuse, rolls her eyes at moms who object…what a class act. https://t.co/ixvNlDplrc

He’s also picked up some big-name endorsements along the way:

Podcaster Joe Rogan signaled his unambiguous support for Pratt during a recent interview, as Fox News reported:
Pratt, best known for his villainous on-screen persona on MTV’s “The Hills,” spoke on Rogan’s podcast last week about deciding to run for office after his home was destroyed in the California wildfire.
“To be clear, I never wanted to run for any political office or have anything to do with politicians.” He then described “spending a year uncovering how my house and my parents’ house burned down.”
“Nobody is stepping up to run against the mayor who’s responsible for this disaster and so many other disasters,’ he continued.
“Listen, man. I’m voting for you. I can’t vote for you, but I’m rooting for you,” Rogan said, noting he is a Texas resident and no longer a Californian. “I mean, if I lived in Los Angeles, no question whatsoever, I would vote for you.”
