Rep. Lauren Boebert: ‘Why Is Everyone In Congress So H*rny’

Rep. Lauren Boebert appears to be fed up with all the sexual scandals surrounding members of Congress.

On Thursday afternoon, while walking out of the Capitol, Rep. Lauren Boebert addressed the recent scandals involving Rep. Eric Swalwell and Rep. Tony Gonzales.

Boebert, however, took an untraditional approach in explaining the scandals and told the members of the press she doesn’t understand why members of Congress are so “horny.”

Colorado Republican Lauren Boebert questioned why members of Congress were “so horny” after two lawmakers accused of sexual misconduct resigned this week within hours of one another.

“Go to church, find Jesus. Like, why is everybody so horny here?” Boebert said to reporters outside the Capitol on Thursday, April 16, before walking away. The GOP firebrand was referring to the surprise resignations of California Democrat Eric Swalwell and Tony Gonzales, a Republican who represented southwest Texas, after both men were accused of inappropriate sexual behavior.

In a statement announcing his resignation on Monday, April 13, Swalwell apologized “for mistakes in judgment I’ve made in my past,” but said he would fight “the serious, false allegation made against me.” Five women have accused Swalwell of sexual misconduct, including rape, in the San Francisco Chronicle and on CNN this month.

Lonna Drewes alleged during a news conference with her attorneys on Tuesday, April 15, that Swalwell had drugged, choked and raped her in a California hotel room in 2018. “While he was choking me, I lost consciousness,” Drewes told reporters Tuesday in Los Angeles. “I thought I died.”

Swalwell also suspended his campaign for California governor following the assault allegations.

Gonzales, who served nearly three full terms in the House before announcing his resignation on Monday, had faced bipartisan calls for his expulsion after he admitted to an affair with a former staffer who later died by suicide.

Boebert, however, may not be the one to give a lecture to members of congress considerig she was caught in a movie theater doing this:

The New York Post reported on Boebert’s prior incident:

Back in 2023, Boebert went viral after getting ejected from a Denver performance of the musical “Beetlejuice after getting handsy with Aspen bar owner Quinn Gallagher.

“I was a little too eccentric. I am very known for having an animated personality. Maybe overly animated personality,” the rabble-rousing rep conceded to One America News Network. “I was laughing, I was singing, having a fantastic time. Was told to kind of settle it down a little bit, which I did, but then my next slip-up was taking a picture.”
