Mike Pence Gives Warning To Vice President JD Vance

Former Vice President Mike Pence has shared his thoughts on Operation Epic Fury and issued a warning to Vice President JD Vance.

On Thursday morning, former Vice President Mike Pence, while making an appearance on Fox News, gave credit to President Trump’s decision to launch Operation Epic Fury on Iran.

Pence shared, “I give President Trump all the credit in the world for pulling the trigger.”

He later added, “It’s been a brilliant campaign.”

Later in the interview, Pence warned JD Vance not to make any nuclear deal with Iran that is similar to Obama’s deal.

Fox News reported more on Pence’s warning to Vance:

Former Vice President Mike Pence warned the Trump administration not to repeat the mistakes of the Obama and Biden years as officials prepare for talks with Iran this weekend.

Pence joined “Fox & Friends” Thursday to praise recent military successes but cautioned that Vice President JD Vance and special envoy Steve Witkoff must demand the unconditional abandonment of Iran’s nuclear program.

“The last thing we want is another Iran nuclear deal,” Pence said. “The president and I got out of that deal back during our administration. We put a maximum pressure campaign on. Biden immediately returned to office and went back to the politics of appeasement.”

Vance and Witkoff are headed to Pakistan for talks this weekend following a fragile two-week ceasefire announced by President Donald Trump on Tuesday. Pence argued the U.S. must ensure Iran halts its nuclear weapons program, opens the Strait of Hormuz and ends support for regional proxies.

“My prayer is, as the vice president and our negotiation team goes to Pakistan, is that they draw that line and say, ‘That’s what we need you to agree to.’ We hold them to that deal in the months and years ahead,” Pence said.

He added the U.S. military must be ready to act if Iran breaks its word, arguing the Biden administration’s decision to drop the “maximum pressure” campaign was a major mistake.

Pence’s comments come as Vance has been selected to lead negotiations with Iran.

Here are the negotiation teams for the United States and Iran:

BBC reported more on Vance’s future negotiations with Iran:

US Vice President JD Vance will lead a delegation in talks with Iran in Pakistan beginning on 11 April, according to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.

In a briefing for reporters, Leavitt said the ceasefire between the US and Iran has created an “opening” that could be the start of a long-lasting peace in the region.

But details on the various peace proposals which will be discussed remain murky, as is the current state of shipping traffic through the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz.

Earlier, Iranian forces warned ships in the area that they would be “destroyed” if they attempted to pass through without permission.

Leavitt, however, said that what Iran is saying publicly is “different privately”.

During the relatively short briefing at the White House on Wednesday, Leavitt declared an American “victory”. Leavitt said the primary military goals of Operation Epic Fury – including the destruction of Iran’s navy, drone and ballistic missile programmes – were achieved.

With the ceasefire in place, Vance, along with special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, will head to Pakistan for in-person negotiations with their Iranian counterparts.

The details of those talks and the exact proposals being discussed remain unclear.
