A two-time Grammy winner known for his comedic take on country music is reportedly on the mend after sustaining serious injuries in a recent fall.
Ray Stevens, who sung classics like “The Streak” and “Guitarzan,” sustained a broken neck but has since been released from the hospital, according to a statement.
Page Six offered additional details:
Stevens, 87, is in recovery and has been advised by doctors to wear a neck brace for “approximately four weeks.”

“Despite the injury, he remains fully mobile and in good spirits as he continues his recovery,” the release continued.
Stevens’ upcoming album, “Favorites Old & New,” which is set to release on Friday, remains on track for its debut.

It wasn’t the octogenarian’s only recent health scare, as the Daily Caller reported:
Some of Stevens’ classic hits will be featured, including, “The Look of Love,” “It Had To Be You” and “Come Rain or Come Shine.” The album will also include “I Guess You’ve Never Been in Love With the Moon” and “Time Machine” as well as “Moving Out is Easier Than Moving On.”
The circumstances behind the fall were not disclosed.
