FACT CHECK: Rumors that President Trump Has Been Rushed to Walter Reed Medical Center

Emergency Lights Trump Inset connected to Rumors President Trump Been Rushed Walter Reed Medical

Social media has exploded over the last few hours on rumors of President Trump’s health.

In a nutshell, the rumor is that he was rushed to Walter Reed Medical Center.

And of course, there’s the ever-popular bit to go along with it: he’s either dead or dying, and it’s all being kept secret from the American people.

Noah tends to remind us often not to ‘hide the ball’, so let me say upfront that there is absolutely NOTHING to verify these claims.

In fact, there seems to be plenty of reason to dismiss the sudden inflow of rumors on X and other platforms.

Keep in mind — most of those spreading today’s rumor are the very ones who went to bat for the Biden White House every day for 4 years and actually DID cover up the President’s health crisis!

As usual, one of the darlings of the mainstream legacy media — Trump-hater extraordinaire, Ed Krassenstein — is one of those at the forefront of today’s fake news.

His initial post pushed speculation that President Trump was rushed to Walter Reed, and has had nearly 7 million views in in 5 hours, as of the time of this report:

Multiple big accounts and even an increasing number of leftist media outlets are now picking up the story and treating it as if there’s a shred of credibility involved.

Keep in mind, the White House’s Rapid Response account reacted almost immediately to the rumors.

The first response came after a WH correspondent accurately pointed out the Marine guard stationed at the West Wing – a clear indication that the President is on the job in his office:

Shortly after, the White House got a little more accurate with their return fire.

In reply to Krassenstein’s rumor mill, the Rapid Response account issued this technical assessment regarding Krassenstein’s speculation:

There have even been large accounts sharing a video alleging to show the moment President Trump was rushed to Walter Reed.

I’ll share a screenshot to begin with, incase the pushback for sharing KNOWN FALSE CLAIMS gets so hot… it gets taken down:

Here’s the full text of that post in case that’s not visible…

Along with the actual post (assuming it doesn’t get taken down):

BREAKING – UNCONFIRMED

There are some reports, some speculation and unconfirmed info coming in that Trump has been taken to Walter Reed Hospital – it is currently reported that roads around the hospital have been closed, and the White House announced that the President will not appear before the public today.

(This is a developing story)

Here’s the actual post from avowed anti-Trumper and leftist ‘Dr Jane Ruby’:

As the note now shows at the bottom of that post…

That video was actually of President Trump’s motorcade when he left the hospital following the assassination attempt at the Butler rally.

Several large conservative accounts have been pushing back against the misinformation, including Nick Sortor.

Who shared this ‘fact check’ on the video shared by Dr. Jane Ruby:

I want to point out that this rumor is continuing to be shared and propagated by the anti-Trump crowd on social media.

Even hours after it was dispelled, the rumors persist.

Even after multiple journalists have gone so far as to visit Walter Reed and verified that it’s nothing but unfounded rumor, the speculation continues to grow.

Freelance journalist Andrew Leyden was one of the first to check up on the rumors AND DISPEL THEM — HOURS AGO:

So while Joe Biden disappeared for weeks on end, over and over again…

President Trump goes into an extended working weekend with serious issues on his plate, including a missing pilot in enemy territory —

And the leftists completely lose their minds.

Even the media is starting to pick up on the story and treating it like there might be some legitimacy, as B-level coverage is starting to pop up from outlets like the International Business Times:

Speculation about Donald Trump’s whereabouts swept across social media on Saturday after unverified posts claimed the US president had been spotted at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

The White House also issued what is known as a ‘lid’ on Saturday, a notification to the press pool indicating the president would not be making any public appearances for the remainder of the day.

A separate, unverified post on Bluesky from an anonymous user claimed that a major road near the hospital had been blocked off and that an emergency meeting was underway at the White House.

This is far from the first occasion that Trump’s name and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center have trended simultaneously online. In November 2019, during his first term, Trump made an unannounced visit to the facility that had not appeared on his public schedule, prompting widespread speculation at the time.

Foreign outlets are also jumping on the bandwagon.

Turkish media eagerly took the bait from Krassenstein’s initial posts, running with the idea that the ‘lid’ implemented by the White House somehow verifies the rumors.

Check out the headline blasted out from Turkey Today:

But as others in the media have consistently pointed out all day — all the signs point to President Trump simply busy, hard at work.

That’s all.

No emergency motorcade trip to the ER.

No secret hospital procedure.

No life support needed — except for the leftist influencers and outlets searching desperately for some sort of bad news to pin on Trump.

But even the WH Director of Communications coming out to say that the President is working at the White House hasn’t stopped the rumors:

What’s the verdict?

Considering that the tell-tale signs, like the Marine sentry and response from White House officials, align with the President simply digging in for an extended work weekend…

And considering this entire flap started without anything substantial that you would expect to see if the President actually was rushed off to Walter Reed (ie: the video that turned out to be his exit from the hospital after Butler!)…

I’m going to call this 100% fake news, the same as the WH Rapid Response account said.

Could a 79 year old man, regardless of previous checkups and physical exams which validate good health, suddenly have a medical episode?

Without a doubt.

He has withstood the lawfare of the Democrats, and even raised his fist after taking a bullet from a would-be assassin.

But even President Trump, one day, will ultimately succumb to the reality of death.

But despite the hopes and dreams of all the Trump-hating media and influencers…

It does not appear to be this day.
