BREAKING: U.S. A-10 Warthog Shot Down By Iran Near Strait Of Hormuz

Iran has been wreaking havoc on U.S. warplanes in Iran on Friday.

As WLT Report previously reported, on Friday, a U.S. F-15E fighter jet was shot down by Iran in a mountainous region in Central Iran.

After Blackhawks were deployed near the scene of the crash one pilot has been rescued but another pilot on board that served as the navigator is still missing.

Now the New York Times has reported a U.S. A-10 Warthog has also been shot down:

A second Air Force combat plane crashed in the Persian Gulf region on Friday, and the lone pilot was safely rescued, according to two U.S. officials who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss operational matters.

The A-10 Warthog attack plane went down near the Strait of Hormuz about the same time that an Air Force F-15E was shot down over Iran, the officials said. In that incident, one crew member was rescued and search-and-rescue operators are looking for the second airman.

Officials provided scant details about the A-10 crash, including how and where it happened.

CBS reported Iran is mocking the U.S. after two of their jets have been shot down:

Iran’s parliamentary speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, mocked the U.S. on Friday after his country shot down a U.S. F-15E aircraft over southwestern Iran.

“This brilliant no-strategy war they started has now been downgraded from ‘regime change’ to ‘Hey! Can anyone find our pilots? Please?” he wrote on his X account.

U.S. officials confirmed to CBS News that Iranian forces shot down an F-15E on Friday. One crew member was rescued by American forces while a search mission is underway for another crew member.

Ghalibaf, doubling down on his mockery, wrote, “What incredible progress. Absolute geniuses.”
