Ousted Hegseth Advisor Gets New Job in Tulsi Gabbard’s DNI Office

A former top advisor to Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has now been hired to work underneath DNI Tulsi Gabbard.

Last April, Dan Caldwell was ousted from the Pentagon after being accused of leaking classified information in a high-profile investigation.

He was also part of the Mike Waltz “SignalGate” chat with other top Trump officials.

Caldwell was never charged for any wrongdoing, and many believe the allegations were totally baseless.

🚨GOOD NEWS🚨

Dan Caldwell, a former top aide to War Secretary Pete Hegseth at the Pentagon, who was wrongfully accused by the Pentagon of leaking classified information, has now been hired by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).

An investigation into the alleged leaks concluded with no evidence of wrongdoing by Caldwell or the others.

In his new role at ODNI, Caldwell will advise senior intelligence officials responsible for coordinating the 18 federal intelligence agencies and preparing the president’s daily intelligence briefing.

Sources who spoke to Fox News say that Caldwell is finishing up the on-boarding process for an administrative role at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

Here’s more from the Fox News report on Caldwell’s new job:

Dan Caldwell’s return to a sensitive intelligence role comes less than a year after he was publicly accused of leaking classified information — allegations that have never been publicly substantiated — and as the Trump administration navigates an escalating war with Iran.

The hiring also places a prominent advocate of a more restrained U.S. foreign policy inside the intelligence apparatus at a moment of growing internal tension.

Earlier Tuesday, National Counterterrorism Center Director Joe Kent resigned, citing opposition to the Iran war and arguing Tehran, Iran, did not pose an imminent threat to the United States, a rare public break from within the administration.

A source familiar with the move described Caldwell’s new position as an “administrative role” focused on internal management and coordination rather than directly shaping intelligence assessments or national security policy. However, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) plays a central role in coordinating intelligence across 18 agencies and shaping the president’s daily intelligence briefing.

The source said Caldwell has completed a polygraph test and passed a series of background and security checks and is in the onboarding process.

Dan Caldwell was also a vocal critic of the U.S. going to war with Iran.

What do you think?

Are you happy Dan Caldwell is back at work in the federal government?
