I agree with President Trump on this.
On Thursday, President Trump called out the Pima County Sheriff, who is leading the investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s abduction, for revealing the high-tech methods the FBI is using in an attempt to find Guthrie.
Trump, while speaking to members of the press pool on Air Force One, shared it was not a good idea for Sheriff Chris Nanos to reveal that helicopters are flying around using an FBI Bluetooth “sniffer” to find Guthrie.
The New York Post reported more on Trump’s thoughts on the error made by the sheriff:
President Trump slammed the investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance Thursday, but told reporters it’s time to pay attention to“other subjects” after weeks of national fixation on the apparent kidnapping.
Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of NBC “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie, has been missing since Feb. 1, when a masked man was filmed at her Tucson-area home’s front door.
Trump said he was perplexed by the fact that authorities told the media they were flying a Pima County Sheriff’s Department helicopter equipped with an FBI Bluetooth “sniffer” to detect Guthrie’s pacemaker.
“I didn’t like when they talked about going after the pacemaker before they even started going after it,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One en route to Georgia.
“If in fact they could do it that way, the person would say, ‘Well, I’m not going to let that happen’… I can’t imagine why they would have done that, just in terms of strategy.”
Trump added: “We have to start reporting on other subjects also and see what happens. It’s a very sad situation.”
Watch Trump here:
DOOCY: What do you think happened to Nancy Guthrie?
DONALD TRUMP: It's so crazy. It's so bad. I didn't like when they were talking about going after the pacemaker. We have to start reporting on other subjects and see what happens. It's a sad situation.

USA Today provided the latest update in the search for Guthrie:
Authorities in Arizona are continuing their search for Nancy Guthrie nearly three weeks after the 84-year-old mother of “Today” anchor Savannah Guthrie was last seen.
ADVERTISEMENTNancy Guthrie has been missing since Sunday, Feb. 1, and law enforcement in Arizona has said they believe she was taken from her home outside Tucson against her will.
Investigators are analyzing biological evidence found at Guthrie’s residence, according to The Pima County Sheriff’s Department, which previously said that DNA was found that could potentially belong to the suspect.
Over the weekend, the sheriff’s department said gloves were recovered that appeared to match those worn by a man seen in doorbell camera video at Guthrie’s front door the morning she disappeared, but the DNA profile found on the glove did not turn up any matches in the FBI’s database.
