Nancy Guthrie, who is the mother of NBC News star Savannah Guthrie, went missing two weeks ago, and until now, authorities have had no subject of interest.

NBC News was the first to report on the photos being released:
The FBI released surveillance photos in a post on X showing a potential subject in the investigation into the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie.
In the post on X, FBI Director Kash Patel said authorities “have been working closely with our private sector partners to continue to recover any images or video footage from Nancy Guthrie’s home that may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to a variety of factors — including the removal of recording devices. The video was recovered from residual data located in backend systems.”

Over the last eight days, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department have been working closely with our private sector partners to continue to recover any images or video footage from Nancy Guthrie’s home that may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to a variety of factors – including the removal of recording devices. The video was recovered from residual data located in backend systems.
Working with our partners – as of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance.

CBS News reported the doorbell camera was disconnected shortly after Guthrie disappeared:
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told reporters last week that a doorbell camera at Guthrie’s home was disconnected at approximately 1:47 a.m. that day.
The FBI and the sheriff’s department said the images were recovered from “residual data located in backend systems.”
Two law enforcement sources told CBS News the man in the images is considered a subject that they are seeking to identify.
ADVERTISEMENTThe person at this point is not considered a suspect or a person of interest, according to the sources.
Savannah Guthrie has asked people across the country for help with the search, saying in a social media video Monday that the family believed Nancy Guthrie was “still out there” and they don’t know where.
This is a developing story…
