One of the primary stars of a hit reality TV series is recovering from serious injuries after crashing his motorcycle.
Corey Harrison, known to fans for his starring role in “Pawn Stars,” revealed the extent of the injuries from his hospital bed this week.
As the Daily Caller reported:
“Pretty messed up but I’m good crash bars are awesome 3 nights in the hospital 11breaks in my rib cage,” Harrison wrote.
ADVERTISEMENTHarrison told fans he would share more details about the crash later and said the injuries would force him to miss his father’s wedding.
“Will do an episode on @theCoreyHarrisonshow sorry Pops looks like I’m missing your wedding,” Harrison wrote in the caption of the post.
I’ve done it again and crashed a bike before my dad’s wedding twice in my life. I’ve never messed up like this before. I broke 11 ribs or 11 things in my ribs. I feel like Forrest Gump. Sorry I missed your wedding, Pops. We’ll do an episode about it on the Corey Harrison show pic.twitter.com/bbrqzwVyuu

Well-wishers chimed in far and wide on social media:
Wow, hope Corey is on the mend! Wedding without the Pawn Stars?

More than a few commenters seemed to subscribe to the theory that laugher is the best medicine, though, and shared variations of the some of the show’s notable catchphrases:
Doctor: "Best I can do is fix 8 ribs."

Doctor: "I'm not an expert on ribs but I have a friend who'll take a look."

Here’s how the New York Post covered the story:
Harrison “will recover fully but will be on bed rest for six weeks while he heals.”
“Rick saw him in the hospital yesterday,” the rep added to the outlet.
The father-son duo have appeared on “Pawn Stars” since its 2009 debut. The series follows the family’s pawn shop in Las Vegas.
Last year, the show took a hiatus, with Rick, 60, telling the Las Vegas Review-Journal that he hopes to see “Pawn Stars” return.
“We’re waiting to see when we might resume filming or what will come next on the horizon,” he shared. “Here’s to ‘Pawn Stars 2.0.’”
