MAHA WIN: President Trump Signs Law to Bring Whole Milk Back to Schools

As you may remember, during Barack Obama’s presidency, school lunches got a truly awful overhaul.

In the name of making kids “healthier,” whole milk was banned from school cafeterias nationwide. Schools had to serve kids either low-fat or non-fat milk.

Today, President Trump put an end to that nonsense.

From the Oval Office, he signed a law restoring whole milk back to school lunches.

Here’s the moment he signed the law in the Oval Office:

This will be the first time since 2010 that public schools are allowed to serve children whole milk as an option.

Fox News has more details:

The executive order dismantles restrictions laid out in the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, signed by former President Barack Obama, which requires public schools in the National School Lunch Program to provide students with reduced-fat milk options.

“President Trump will sign into law a fix to the failed Obama policy that foolishly banned whole milk from public schools and barred children from the essential nutrients needed to grow, learn, and stay healthy,” White House spokeswoman Taylor Rogers said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

“This is common sense and great news for America’s children, dairy farmers, and parents who deserve choice, not big government mandates,” Rogers said. “President Trump is delivering on his commitment to Make America Healthy Again!”

The National School Lunch Program is federally funded, and offers low-cost or free meals to students. Reduced-fat or fat-free milk will still be offered to students under the new order.

During the signing event, the benefits of drinking whole milk on the body and mind were discussed.

At one point, President Trump claimed he’s aced all of cognitive tests thanks to milk!

I wouldn’t recommend drinking that if I were you, fake news!

This change in the school lunch program comes about a week after HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced a new, improved food pyramid and updated dietary guidelines.

The new guidelines focus on eating protein, healthy fats, full-fat dairy, and whole foods.
