FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino Officially Stepped Down Today


FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino’s last day was today.

Last year, Bongino announced he would be stepping down in January, but that day has now arrived.

Bongino, in a post on X, wrote, “Tomorrow I return to civilian life. It’s been an incredible year thanks to the leadership and decisiveness of President Trump.”

It was a busy last day on the job. This will be my last post on this account.

Tomorrow I return to civilian life. It’s been an incredible year thanks to the leadership and decisiveness of President Trump.

It was the honor of a lifetime to work with Director Patel, and to serve you, the American people.

MSN reported that Trump believes Bongino will return to his show:

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino confirmed Wednesday he has resigned his position.

Bongino’s announcement comes mere hours after Trump appeared to announce his imminent departure while speaking with reporters under the wing of Air Force One on Wednesday.

The President said, ‘Dan did a great job. I think he wants to go back to his show,’ apparently in reference to his previous role as a conservative commentator.
