Somali Daycare Claims Documents Were Stolen in Alleged Break-In — But Police DENY It

Thanks to independent journalist Nick Shirley’s work, the lid has been completely blown off the rampant fraud happening in Minnesota through ‘child care centers’ that rake in millions from the government and don’t actually care for any children.

But now, a manager from one of these Somali-run daycares in Minnesota is telling a sob story about how someone broke in and stole all of their “important documents.”

And get this: he’s blaming Nick Shirley’s viral video for spreading “false” reports about the Minnesota Somali community.

Watch for yourself:

To be clear, the center that was allegedly broken into, Nokomis Daycare, was not featured in Nick Shirley’s video.

But still, they’re pinning the blame on him all the same, accusing Shirley of promoting “hate” against Somalians.

Fox 9 reported:

“The rhetoric of the video seeks to promote division and hate towards the Somali community, which has real life consequences as evidenced by the damage sustained by the center,” the day care center said in a news release.

Nokomis Daycare was not featured in the viral video. The Minnesota Department of Human Services website says Nokomis Daycare Center is operating in good standing and is licensed to care for up to 71 children, including infants, toddlers and preschool-age children.

Nasrulah Mohamed, a manager at the day care center, said during Wednesday’s news conference he and another manager arrived at 6 a.m. on Tuesday to find a burglar damaged the building to get in. The office door was also damaged, and “important documentation,” including documents related to employees and children at the day care, was missing.

Mohamed believes the break-in happened between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. on Tuesday.

Now, why would anyone care about stealing records from a daycare center in the first place?

Your guess is as good as mine.

But, if true, then this is a terrible thing, right?

There’s just one problem.

Police say that there wasn’t actually anything stolen.

According to the cops, the daycare center did not report any loss.

Per The New York Post:

Nasrulah Mohamed, manager of Nakomis Day Care Center, told reporters that a suspect entered through the kitchen at the rear of the facility, damaging a wall and breaking into the building’s office, sometime on Tuesday.

He said the alleged prowler stole “important documentation” including children’s enrollment information, employee documentation and checkbooks.

However “no loss was reported to officers,” according to a preliminary report by the Minneapolis Police Department.

MPD noted that the center later reached out with additional information, but the updated police report was not immediately available.

What a racket.

President Trump weighed in on the incident in a post on Truth Social:

You have to feel for them, though…

Imagine how hard it must be having your years-long fraud scheme exposed.

Must be terrifying, indeed.

What do you think?
