Good thing authorities were able to thwart this plot.

ABC 7 News reported more on the :

Authorities say a University of Delaware student was arrested with weapons and a notebook with detailed drawings of the campus police department.

Luqmaan Khan, 25, was arrested just before midnight on November 24.

The university has confirmed that Khan is an undergraduate student. He has been banned from all UD campuses while the investigation is underway, interim president Laura Carlson said in a statement.

Police say they were conducting a check at a park when they saw a white Toyota Tacoma, driven by Khan, in the park after hours.

He was taken into custody after police say he refused to exit his vehicle and resisted arrest.

Police searched the Tacoma and found several items inside, including a loaded handgun, extended magazines, body armor, a laptop and binoculars.

The arrest comes shortly after President Trump announced a crackdown on visas being issued from 19 countries that pose a security threat, per the New York Post:

The Trump administration formally halted immigration applications from 19 countries deemed to be a high risk for producing terrorists and other national security threats — hours after a source told The Post that list could grow to 30 nations or more.

In a four-page memo issued late Tuesday, US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) directed a hold on green card and citizenship applications from those nations, as well as requests for benefits, “pending a comprehensive review.”

USCIS also announced a hold on “all pending asylum applications, regardless of the alien’s country of nationality.”
