Man Released EARLY From Prison For Prior Stabbing Immediately Stabs and Kills 18-Year-Old Boy Upon Release

Another violent criminal set loose on the streets has gone on to commit a heinous murder.

A few weeks ago, 18-year-old JT Schroeder was brutally stabbed to death outside a Walmart in Georgia.

Very disturbingly, it turns out that the murder suspect had a long history of violent crime and was on probation…for another stabbing.

48-year-old Delano Middleton is being charged with murder for killing Schroeder.

A few years ago, he stabbed another woman, unprovoked, and served only two years in prison before being released.

People has more details:

The man accused of fatally stabbing an 18-year-old who allegedly kicked his shopping cart at a Georgia Walmart was on probation at the time of the incident.

Delano Middleton is charged with murder in connection with the Oct. 23 killing of J.T. Schroeder, according to court records. It is not immediately clear if he’s entered a plea.

The Chatham County Police Department said Schroeder kicked Middleton’s shopping cart as the latter exited the store.

Schroeder suffered multiple stab wounds and lacerations and died four days later, police said.

Middleton previously pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in 2023 and was on probation at the time of the Walmart stabbing, state court records reviewed by PEOPLE indicate.

The aggravated assault charge stemmed from a 2021 indictment that accused him of stabbing a woman.

According to a sentencing document, Middleton was sentenced to two years in prison and eight years of probation. Prosecutors have since petitioned to have his probation revoked.

Middleton, who was arrested in 2021, was given credit for time served, leading to his release from prison at the time.

Schroeder’s father is calling it an egregious failure of the system that resulted in his son’s death.

Watch:

Schroder’s father is also fighting back on the official police narrative that his son started a conflict with Middleton first.

From WJCL:

The incident happened on October 23 at the Walmart on Highway 80. Police said a confrontation began when a man was leaving the store with a shopping cart and Schroeder kicked it as he passed by — a brief encounter that escalated into violence.

At the time, police said both men and several witnesses were questioned. On Monday, investigators confirmed Schroeder had died from his injuries.

But for his father, that version of events doesn’t tell the full story.

“My son was never, ever confrontational unless he was confronted first,” Schroeder’s father told WJCL 22 News.

He described the moments he arrived at the scene after getting the call no parent ever wants.

“I got over there as fast as I could and saw blood everywhere. He was literally stabbed over ten times until he finally bled out and died.”

Erica Young, the woman who was stabbed by Middleton in 2021, is also speaking out after learning that her attacker went on to claim an innocent life.

JUST IN: Woman says the man accused of k*lling an 18-year-old at Walmart randomly st*bbed her four years ago — ‘The system failed’

Delano Middleton is accused of st*bbing and k*lling 18-year-old JT Schroeder after the teen allegedly kicked his cart

Middleton was still on probation at the time

Middleton previously st*bbed Erica Young multiple times at a U-Haul in Savannah in 2021

“When I was on the ground, he told me that he wanted to watch me bleed out.”

The attack was unprovoked

“I’ve never met him before that day, never had any contact with him.”

A court-ordered mental evaluation in 2022 ruled him incompetent

He was later found competent and sentenced to two years in jail and eight years probation after a 2023 plea deal for aggravated assault

Middleton is now charged with m*rder and is being held without bond

Erica Young says she regrets not fighting for a harsher sentence.

Fox News reported:

On Oct. 22, 2021, Erica Young said, Middleton walked into the U-Haul store she was working at and stole keys that were behind the desk. Then, he went outside where he planned on taking a truck, WTOC reported.

Middleton then stabbed Young in the stomach and head several times in an attack she said was unprovoked, according to the outlet.

“When I was on the ground, he told me that he wanted to watch me bleed out,” Young said. “I’ve never met him before that day, never had any contact with him.”

In December 2023, Middleton took a negotiated plea deal, pleading guilty to aggravated assault. As part of the deal, Middleton spent two years in prison followed by eight years of probation.

Young said the punishment was too lenient and only encouraged him to be violent in the future.

“Honestly, this is my true opinion on it,” Young said. “He got away with the stabbing of me, so he thought he could get away with it again.”

The stabbing victim said Schroeder’s death made her wish she had fought for a harsher sentence.

This is such a sad and infuriating story all around.

It shouldn’t be the victim’s responsibility to ensure violent criminals are locked up and kept away from society!

That’s what the courts are for.

And yet, we’ve seen that time and time again, the system fails to enact justice, letting out violent thugs who go on to (shockingly!) commit more gruesome crimes!

The judge who let Middleton out after serving such a short sentence has blood on their hands.
