Kai Trump Announces LPGA Tour Debut

Kai Trump, President Trump’s granddaughter, announced she will make her LPGA Tour debut in November.

“I will be making my LPGA Tour debut in November at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican! See you November 10-16 – at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, FL,” Trump wrote on X.

“It has been a dream of mine to compete at the professional level, and I’d like to thank the Pelican Golf Club for the invitation. I’m looking forward to teeing up and competing with the best players in the world at one of the most premier venues on tour,” she said.

ESPN has more:

Trump, the eldest child of Donald Trump Jr., is a senior at the Benjamin School in Palm Beach County who has committed to play for the Hurricanes next year. She competes in amateur events nationally with the American Junior Golf Association and locally in Florida.

She is currently No. 461 in the AJGA Girls ranking, having played three events this year.

Kai Trump has more than 6 million combined followers across four social media platforms and recently started an apparel and lifestyle brand aimed at empowering young women in sports.

“Sponsor invitations are an important way to spotlight emerging talent and bring new attention to our tournaments and the LPGA,” said Ricki Lasky, the LPGA’s chief tour business and operations officer. “Kai’s broad following and reach are helping introduce golf to new audiences, especially among younger fans. We’re excited to see her take this next step in her journey.”

WNBA star Caitlin Clark will also compete at the event.

Golfweek noted:

The ANNIKA is the penultimate LPGA competition of the season. It is hosted by 10-time major champion Annika Sorenstam and sponsored by Gainbridge.

In October, tournament officials announced Clark, who serves as a Gainbridge ambassador, would return to play The ANNIKA for a second straight season.

Other tournament sponsor exemptions include Wake Forest Senior Anne-Sterre den Dunnen and Northwestern All-American Lauryn Nguyen.
