WE Are Punk Rock Now!

EDITOR’S NOTE: I first wrote this a few years ago. It was true then and it’s even more true now. We are punk rock now. And I love it!

Have you noticed that rock stars used to be the prime example of ANTI-ESTABLISHMENT….but now they’re the exact reverse?

Here’s the latest:

Rock music is dead. It was killed by embracing the establishment, corporatism and authority. Today’s acts are more likely to be pro-war Big Pharma shills than peace activist hippies.

So sad.

They’ve all sold out…

Gone corporate…

Become what they hated.

And that’s why I keep saying this: WE are punk rock now.

You and me.

And the 5 million people who read this website each month.

Because what was the punk rock movement all about?

It was about being counter-culture.

It was about fighting the norms.

Standing up to “The Man”!

Fighting what “they” told you to be.

And in a world of deceit…

A world filled with lies…

A world telling children they need to mutilate themselves and change genders…

A world that HATES God and HATES Christians…

A world that says the Ten Commandments are outdated…

A world that says you must Eat Ze Bugs and own nothing and be happy about it…

In world that tells you all of that is normal, I’d rather be punk rock.

I’d rather be counter-culture if that’s the culture I’m being forced into.

I’m not sure when it happened, but I have a feeling it was somewhere around February 2020 (gee, what else happened right about that time?) when literal Punk Rockers were running to get their C19 vaxxes and forcing fans to get vaxxed in order to come to their shows.

The genre that used to be all about “down with The Man” suddenly BECAME “The Man”.

Then we had other rockers like Bruce Springsteen who is so old and feeble now that he faceplants on stage and instead of fighting The Man he sucks up to Joe Biden and loves the tyranny!

“MORE TYRANNY PLEASE!”

“Please sir….more tyranny!”

Yuck! 🤮

What is wrong with these people?

Where did their sense of Libertarianism (a/k/a Punk Rock vibes) go?

The people who once railed against things like the Iraq War now can’t wait to send $100 billion MORE to Ukraine to keep the fighting going!

They’ve completely jumped sides!

The people who shouted about “My Body My Choice” for decades now say it’s NOT your body OR your choice when they want to jab you with something you do NOT consent to.

They’ve lost their minds and flipped their sides!

So I don’t know what happened to them, but I know who is Punk Rock now…

You.

Me.

And at least one legit Punk Rocker, Offspring drummer Pete Parada.

According to HotPress:

The Offspring drummer Pete Parada will no longer be joining the California pop-punk band onstage or in the studio after turning down the Covid-19 vaccine due to its potential side effects.

Citing medical advice for not taking the vaccine, the musician claims to have been infected with the Covid virus a year ago and is concerned about Guillain-Barré syndrome. Since childhood, the musician has experienced the illness, which sees the person’s immune system damage their nerves.

For him, the risks of having a Covid vaccine “far outweigh the benefits”, he said. “But I’m not so certain I’d survive another post-vaccination round of Guillain-Barré syndrome.”

The condition has been listed as a very rare side-effect of the Janssen vaccine, while there has been a warning about a reported connection to the AstraZeneca vaccine – although that has not been confirmed.

There’s at least one guy who gets it and didn’t cave to The Man.

So sad there weren’t more.
