TPUSA Crowd Erupts as Megyn Kelly DESTROYS Woke Student Blaming Trump for Charlie Kirk Assassination

Megyn Kelly wasn’t pulling any punches at a Turning Point USA event held Wednesday night in Virginia.

This was only the second TPUSA event since the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

As the question and answer debate session got going, one very angry college student approached the mic and started off by asking if everyone could hear him.

Obviously, he came prepared to make a statement and wanted to make sure he was front and center for his big moment.

But he may have misread the room — and the speaker he was addressing — when he launched into an angry anti-Trump rant.

Not to let the young man continue in his ignorance, Megyn Kelly quickly put him in his place… seemingly to the delight of the lively crowd.

When she pinned him down on his false premise, he tried to wiggle out of it by shifting topics slightly.

And Megyn Kelly still was having none of it.

Here’s a clip of the moment so you can see for yourself.  (This is how it’s done!):

As soon as his foundational premise — that President Trump was ultimately culpable in the martyrdom of Charlie Kirk — was called out…

He resorted to another non-existent statistic, claiming 70% of all political violence is carried out by “REPUBLICANS”.

When his out-of-thin-air ‘statistic’ wasn’t readily accepted, he resorted to just trying to shout her down.

Megyn Kelly, on the other hand, simply listed facts related to the death of Charlie Kirk in order to demolish his emotional false rhetoric; like bullet casings and statements from those directly involved, as pointed out in this report from the New York Post:

Megyn Kelly taught a lesson to a lefty college student at a Turning Point USA event on Wednesday after the young commenter tried to link President Trump’s “rhetoric” to the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

“Why do you support a president who contributes to the rhetoric that got your friend Charlie Kirk killed?” the snide, tufty-headed male student charged. “We saw his rally recently, he said, ‘I hate my enemies.’”

The conservative firebrand wasted no time in swatting down the bad faith attempt to draw out a conservative contradiction, video showed.

When the student tried to equivocate his stance, saying Trump “contributed to the atmosphere” that led to Kirk’s killing, Kelly laid down the law.

“Well then you have no point. Then your point is utterly empty. ‘Contributing to the atmosphere?’ Let’s just be clear, [Tyler Robinson] was motivated by leftists ideology,” the podcast host said to roaring cheers from the packed auditorium.

“We know it from the bullet casings, we know it from the Utah governor, we know it from his own mother,” Kelly continued to applause.

The increasingly visually uncomfortable speaker nearly screeched when he then asked if it was “okay to incite violence against liberals” and referenced Trump’s comments at Kirk’s memorial in which the president said he does not forgive his enemies.

“The president of the United States has not accepted violence against liberals,” Kelly retorted.

“Its completely normal for a politician to be thinking about his political fights. And, by the way, Trump has every right to loathe his enemies — they tried to put him in jail for the rest of his life, they tried to bankrupt him, they tried to put his family in jail, and they tried to kill him,” Kelly emphasized as the right-leaning college audience applauded in approval.

That may qualify as a masterclass in how to counter the deceptive tactics of the radicalized ‘wokesters’ still intent on blaming President Trump for E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G.

And her successful disarmament of his ploys all hinged on one thing: she didn’t overcomplicate her response.

As soon as he made that first argument, blaming President Trump for Charlie Kirk’s death, she identified it as a false pretense based on nothing more than a lack of evidence.

There’s nothing in reality that actually argues that President Trump somehow created the conditions for Charlie Kirk to die at the hand of an assassin.

It’s a foundationless argument rooted in leftist rhetoric and emotional propaganda; and she had the wherewithal to simply CALL IT THAT…

And not try to immediately make the counter-case.  (But she took that opportunity when it came later!)

BRILLIANT!

You can catch her full speech from the event below.

And I’ll cue the video to start just before she begins describing the shift that is happening since — and as a result — of Charlie Kirk’s death.

She also shares one of the last conversations she had with Charlie Kirk about refusing to be silenced:

As she said, it’s high time that conservative voices — particularly those of us who claim the name of Christ — refuse to bow to the pressures that would silence us.

Virginia’s Republican Governor also spoke at the college event alongside Megyn.

He pointed out that the very opposite of what was intended by that sniper’s bullet is actually playing out, according to this story from CNN:

Charlie Kirk’s organization, Turning Point USA, continued its national tour of college campuses on Wednesday evening, stopping at Virginia Tech ahead of a pivotal election for the state.

The “American Comeback Tour” event – headlined by conservative media pundit Megyn Kelly and Virginia Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin – celebrated Kirk and highlighted his affinity to debate with civility.

Youngkin told the crowd that while a sniper’s bullet tried “to silence all of us but you see the exact opposite is happening.”

“There is a revival spreading across this great nation, a revival spreading across this great nation that is spreading out while it points up to who’s in charge. This is so awesome,” he said.

Kelly spoke to the hesitance some may have felt in attending the event so soon following Kirk’s assassination and thanked attendees for showing up. “In this particular circumstance, showing up is courageous given what happened to Charlie,” she said. “But I think we all came for the same reason.”

“Really, the reason is the message that we will not be silenced by an assassin’s bullet, by a heckler’s veto, by a left-wing woke professor or anyone who tries to silence us from saying what we really believe. Those days are done,” she said.

As Governor Youngkin and Megyn Kelly both intoned, the outpouring of boldness from conservative Christian circles is spreading like wildfire as a result of Charlie Kirk’s faithful witness right up to the end of his mortal life.

This morning, on the heels of the previous evening’s fireworks…

Megyn dropped a big announcement related to Turning Point USA.

Erika Kirk is making good on her pledge to take the fight to the enemy like never before in every way, and she is not shrinking back from the public square one bit.

It turns out that Charlie’s grieving widow (“…not as the world grieves, who have no hope…”) will be joining Megyn Kelly in the near future:

It has been a wild few weeks; emotionally, spiritually, and mentally.

While there are some still nitpicking from the sidelines, trying to CREATE problems where there are none — or inventing disagreements that would distract from the main issues…

I am thankful for those like Megyn Kelly who have stepped up even in the turmoil of their own grief, who are faithfully carrying the torch of TRUTH forward.

No, we are not all literally Charlie… as the mantra has argued.

He was something unique.

But I get the sentiment, and that same uniqueness is something God DID intertwine in each one of us for Godly purposes with righteous design.

And every single one of us bears a similar responsibility to take our place alongside the truth-tellers of our time, and bolster the lines of those arrayed against freedom itself.

Megyn Kelly’s refusal to be silenced — and her call for each of us to stand likewise against those who would silence us — is a line in the sand.

And I know which side I’m standing on.

Do you?
