BREAKING: Several People Shot At Dallas Ice Facility After Suspect Opens Fire From A Roof, One Reported Dead


The Department of Homeland Security has reported that multiple people have been shot at a Dallas ICE facility on Wednesday morning.

Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem has revealed that the suspect in the shooting died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds.

The motive of the shooting is currently under investigation.

Newsweek had more details to report on the shooting:

Federal agents and local police responded to an active shooter situation at an ICE facility in Dallas early Wednesday, where multiple victims were reported and a suspect was seen on the roof.

Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem confirmed that the shooter, as yet unidentified, had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

“While we don’t know motive yet, we know that our ICE law enforcement is facing unprecedented violence against them. It must stop,” Noem said on X. “Please pray for the victims and their families.”

NBC News reported the shooter shot from an adjacent building near the ICE facility:

The suspected shooter who opened fire on a Dallas ICE facility this morning did so from an adjacent building, the Dallas Police Department said in a statement on X.

Police responded to a call at around 6:40 a.m. local time in the 8100 block of North Stemmons Freeway.

Two people were transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds, and one died at the scene, police said. An ICE spokesperson told NBC News that two people died in the shooting, not including the suspect.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and a media briefing will occur later today.
