Gavin Newsom Posts Sick Threat (?) To Kristi Noem?

California Governor Gavin Newsom and his press team could be in big trouble…

Earlier today, the Gavin Newsom Press Office account on X posted a vague, odd message apparently targeting DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.

And, here’s a backup in case it gets deleted (I’m surprised it hasn’t been already):

In case you don’t know, the Governor Newsom Press Office account is not the official Gavin Newsom account.

Newsom does not write the posts himself.

However, Newsom himself said before that he does have a ‘kill switch’ to approve or veto the posts before they go live.

Watch:

So, he can and should be held accountable for any and all posts made by that account.

With that in mind, let’s dive into this…

“Kristi Noem is going to have a bad day today.”

Especially in the wake of the horrific assassination of Charlie Kirk, how are we supposed to take that message?

Many people are interpreting it as a direct threat on Kristi Noem’s life.

Acting U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli for the Central District of California took the apparent threat seriously, quickly referring the post to the Secret Service:

A few hours later, the Secret Service released a statement on the investigation:

Here’s the full text of the USSS’s statement:

Our field office is in receipt of the Department of Justice’s communication. To preserve operational integrity, we are not able to comment on specific protective intelligence matters. However, the U.S. Secret Service must vigorously investigation any situation or individual, regardless of position or status, that could pose of be perceived as posing a threat to any of our protectees. Especially in a politically charged climate, such as this.

No word yet from Newsom or his press office about what their intention behind the very questionable post was…

They just followed up with this cringey post, doubling down and trying to mock President Trump:

But, other members of the Trump administration, like Assistant DHS Secretary Tricia McLaughlin agreed that the post looks like a threat:

In fact, I really don’t know how a message like that could have been interpreted as anything other than a threat.

Were they just trying to be cute and edgy ahead of announcing Newsom’s ban on ICE agents wearing face masks?

Eric Daugherty did a great job breaking down the new legislation here:

BREAKING: Gavin Newsom signs legislation attempting to “ban” face coverings for federal agents at a time when violence against ICE is at an all-time high.

The laws also “require” any officer to identify themselves at all times, and shield illegal aliens’ healthcare information.

“Trump and @StephenM
have shattered that trust and spread fear across America.”

Gavin, you’re about to learn what federal supremacy means.

Per Cal Matters, the full list:

Assembly Bill 49 prohibits schools from allowing immigration enforcement officers on campus without a warrant.

Senate Bill 627 widely prohibits federal and local law enforcement officers from wearing face masks while conducting their duties.

Senate Bill 805 requires that law enforcement officers identify themselves while conducting their duties, with some exceptions.

Senate Bill 81 prohibits immigration enforcement from entering restricted areas of a health facility without a judicial warrant or court order.

Senate Bill 98 requires schools and higher education institutions to send community notifications when immigration enforcement is on campus, and prohibits immigration enforcement from entering certain areas without a judicial warrant or court order.

If that’s the case, it needs to stop now.

Last week, a loving father and husband lost his life just for trying to talk to these people.

We are far past the point where implied threats can be taken humorously and shrugged off.

But, I have a feeling that the left is going to have to learn that the hard way.
