The search for two missing hunters in Colorado has come to a tragic end.
Two 25 year-old hunters who went missing last week were discovered dead near a trailhead in Rio Grande National Forest in Colorado.
Colorado Search and Rescue Teams have not revealed what caused the two young man’s death and their death’s are still under investigation.

Two hunters who have been missing for nearly a week in southern Colorado have been found dead, according to a family member. One man was set to get married in just a few months.
On Thursday, Sept. 18, Andrew Porter’s aunt, Lynne Runkle, shared that his body and that of his friend, Ian Stasko, had been recovered in an update on the GoFundMe page she created to help fund search and rescue efforts after the two 25-year-olds disappeared during a hunting trip in the Rio Grande National Forest.
“It is with a broken heart and through tears that I give you this update. Andrew and Ian have both been found deceased,” wrote Runkle, who did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment. “Their bodies were discovered earlier today by Colorado Search and Rescue”
She added, “Please keep Andrew’s and Ian‘s families in your thoughts and prayers.”
The same day, the Conejos County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that two unidentified men had been recovered from the Rio de Los Pinos Trailhead at approximately 11 a.m. local time after extensive search efforts. “At this time, the individuals remain unidentified,” Sheriff Garth Crowther said, via a press release shared with PEOPLE. “The investigation is ongoing, and no further details are available pending identification and notification of next-of-kin.”

KSLTV reported that the two men’s camping gear was found in their car:
Two 25-year-old hunters were found dead after search and rescue teams first began looking for them on Saturday.
ADVERTISEMENTThe Saguache County Search and Rescue announced on Thursday that Ian Stasko from Salt Lake City was found dead, along with Andrew Porter, who was from Asheville, North Carolina.
“Saguache County Search and Rescue wishes to express our sincere condolences to the family of these young men,” the search and rescue said.
Stasko and Porter were first reported missing in Colorado on Saturday, after not returning home from elk hunting in the San Juan Wilderness Area west of Trujillo Meadows Reservoir.
“The Vehicle that Andrew and Ian drove to the Trail Head was located but neither individual was there,” the Conejos County Sheriff’s Office said. “Camping gear and backpacks were located in the vehicle prompting Deputies to become concerned due to heavy rain and bad weather.”
By Wednesday, the two men were still not found, and officials said volunteers traveled from all over the nation to help with search efforts.
“The New Mexico State Police and La Plata County Search and rescue Teams along with Volunteers from as far away as Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Wyoming and numerous other States and Counties across the State, and the Nation have and are responding. We have had over 54 teams of professionally trained Search and Rescue Personnel mixed with volunteers in the field,” the Conejos County Sheriff’s Office said.
