The leader of the band Coldplay, Chris Martin, took time during his concert in London to ask the audience to “send love” to Charlie Kirk’s grieving wife and two young children.
Martin paused the concert to urge everyone in attendance to take a moment and “send love” to others who are suffering.
“There are so many places that might need it today,” he said, then listed some examples,
“You can send this to your brother or your sister, you can send it to the families of people who have been going through terrible stuff, you can send it to Charlie Kirk’s family, you can send it to anybody’s family.”
Watch the beautiful moment here:
🚨 HOLY CRAP! Coldplay’s Chris Martin STOPPED his concert in London and asked the 80,000+ people in attendance to “SEND LOVE” to Charlie Kirk’s family
And people were cheering!
The left does NOT understand the scale of what they’ve done here
Our movement just got MUCH bigger🙏🏻 pic.twitter.com/syHblcjE0d

Chris Martin is not right-wing.
Over the years, he’s been very vocal about his leftist views.
Kudos to him for seeing beyond right vs. left and honoring Charlie Kirk’s family here.
Many people who were attending his concert were likely on the same side of the political spectrum as Chris Martin.
Still, they could be heard cheering.
Keep in mind this was not in America; it was in London. It just goes to show how big of an impact Charlie Kirk had and how loved he was, everywhere in the world.
Yet, other fans of Coldplay were outraged he would dare pay tribute to Charlie Kirk.
Mediaite commented:
As people reacted to Martin’s words, several Coldplay fans expressed feeling ‘disappointed’ due to the divisive nature of Kirk’s beliefs.
X user @rossmacronald declared that they would ‘walk out’ if Martin encouraged such a tribute at a concert they attended, while @aspace0dyssey called the speech ‘insane’.
‘I booed that was insane. The fact that’s the only name he mentioned as well’, they tweeted.
Asking people to “send love” to a mother who just lost her husband in the most horrific way possible and their two babies is “insane?”
That person should really look in a mirror.
My takeaway from all this is that Charlie Kirk’s assassination is making everyone’s true colors come out — regardless of political affiliation, and whether for better or worse.
Inevitable West on X put it well:
