JFK’s Grandson Takes First Step Toward Run for Congress

President John F. Kennedy’s grandson is making moves towards a hotly contested Congressional seat.

Caroline Kennedy’s son, Jack Schlossberg, has set up an exploratory committee in order to consider a potential run.

With Jerry Nadler announcing he will NOT seek to extend his 49 total years as a politician, the race for his House Seat has been heating up.

And if you’re not familiar with Jack Schlossberg, let’s just say I chose that headline image to give you a clear indication of the difference between Jack and his Presidential grandad.

It has become common for potential candidates to announce their intention on social media.

But even Jack’s exploratory committee announcement reads more like a fumbled txt message than a political announcement from JFK’s lineage:

In case you didn’t catch it, this is the same Jack Schlossberg who made a name for himself attacking President Trump recently.

There’s also this video from a few weeks ago in which he mocked the First Lady.

Remember the heartfelt letter to Putin that Melania sent along with her husband to hand deliver during the historic peace talks President Trump set up in Alaska?

The same guy that made fun of Melania’s push for peace now wants to sit as a Congressman.

Here’s the grandson of President JFK attempting to mock Melania’s call for Putin to end the war in Ukraine:

Here’s a full screen version of that video for backup purposes and convenience:

But if borderline crazy was a sure fire way to prevent a total circus act from attaining public office…

We wouldn’t have the likes of AOC, Jasmine Crockett, or a score of others whose eye raising public behavior should have been disqualification enough.

It’s highly debatable whether JFK’s grandson could actually make it to the House floor as a member.

But I don’t underestimate the ability of the Left to deceive voters by concealing a candidate’s lunacy, and weaponizing the pre-existing TDS.  (Yes… it’s still running rampant!)

He did, in fact, get a rousing endorsement from a huge segment of his Instagram followers when he ran a poll asking if he should run, according to the New York Post:

Jack Schlossberg, the grandson of President John F. Kennedy, said Sunday that he is forming a committee to explore a run for a New York City congressional seat.

The inclusion of Schlossberg, 32, in the race is expected to heat up an already hotly contested race for New York’s 12th Congressional District after Rep. Jerry Nadler announced he would not be running for an 18th term, Axios reported.

The decision comes after Schlossberg posted a poll on his Instagram asking if he should run for office, with 91% of his followers urging him to do it.

The Kennedy scion has previously made headlines over his role as a political commentator and speaker at the Democratic National Convention, often trashing his uncle, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

The Harvard and Yale Law School graduate also went on a foul-mouthed tirade against Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) earlier this year, telling the X CEO to “east s—t.”

Schlossberg has cozied up to top New York Democrats, with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) tapping the Kennedy heir last month to join him on the America 250 Commission prepping the nation’s birthday bash next year.  (Emphasis added.)

Chuck Schumer’s willingness to bring Jack on board for the Senate’s planning for America’s 250-year birthday events as noted in that NYP article indicates the Democrats are willing to play ball with him — at least to some degree.

That may have as much to do with his over-the-top opposition to President Trump, as well as his open disdain for his famous uncle RFK Jr, than anything else.

Keep in mind that his potential voter base would be New Yorkers.

While many have made it clear in recent days that they completely support President Trump’s push to clean up the Democrat led cities suffering under nightmarish crime conditions…

There are still plenty of folks brainwashed by the progressive talking points, willing to tow the line that President Trump is a tyrant intent on doing tyrannical things.

Here was Jack’s response to the idea that New York would be one of the cities in line for some crime cleanup courtesy of President Trump:

Is it a prerequisite that potential candidates threaten President Trump’s life before the Democratic Party will take them serious?

But Jack Schlossberg certainly doesn’t hold sway with the entire Democratic Party.

Amazingly — and this is REALLY saying something — even outgoing Rep. Jerry Nadler is unwilling to treat Jack Schlossberg as a legitimate contender for his old seat!

Nadler said there “will be major candidates” for his House seat representing parts of NYC, but JFK’s grandson isn’t one of them, as reported by The Hill

Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) said Jack Schlossberg, the grandson of President John F. Kennedy, “certainly is not going to be a major candidate” vying for his House seat.

“Well, there’s nothing particularly good or bad about a Kennedy holding my seat. But the Kennedy, unlike Schlossberg, should be somebody with a record of public service, a record of public accomplishment, and he doesn’t have one,” Nadler replied.

“And so, I don’t think he’s going to be a candidate in the end, and he certainly is not going to be a major candidate. There will be major candidates,” he continued. “Micah Lasher, who is an assemblyman — who was an aide to me many years ago and who was chief of policy for the governor and worked for the [former New York Mayor Michael] Bloomberg administration — he has declared — he has filed. I’m sure there’ll be other candidates.”

In what might be his most politically savvy move, Jack didn’t take the path of David Hogg — hitting back at the Democrat old guard when they dismissed him.

Instead, JFK’s grandson simply double-downed on his PRAISE for Nader on the heels of being essentially sidelined by the very Congressman whose shoes he is now seeking to fill.

Here was his response to Jerry Nadler’s broad dismissal of his chances:

Here’s the full text of his Instagram post THANKING Nadler in response to being politically sidelined, in case the full post isn’t visible:

Honestly no offense taken whatsoever ! As a New Yorker, a progressive and an American, I have nothing but thanks and respects to offer Rep Nadler 🙂

He has done so much for NYC and for our country. His lifetime of public service is a great example to us all. Here are some headlines I found of him fighting for equal rights and from his website’s list of accomplishments. Thank you Congressman !!

That’s political judo mind tricks 101.

Deflect your detractor’s attack, while simultaneously aligning yourself with their base.

And in so doing… hijack the outgoing Nader’s existing support among NYC democrats.

He might be a nut job, but he has either realized the need for political posturing…

Or he is being coached by someone who knows what they’re doing.

Long shot?  Maybe.

But this is NYC, this is the Democratic Party in 2025, and this is a guy who carries JFK prestige and is willing to play dirty against President Trump.

At a time when almost everything the President touches is turning to gold for the betterment of the nation — win after win after win — the mere possibility of a fresh wind of opposition might be enough to spark a fire of excitement for those who still have a touch of TDS in their system.

The need for retribution is still high among those who bought into the Democrat fake news which promised right up to election day a sweeping Kamala-utopia with visions of the ‘Orange Man’ in an orange jumpsuit.

Bitterness might be a hard pill to swallow; but it makes for great incentive for wanting PAYBACK.

And that need to exact PAYBACK is the only plausible path to victory that would give Jack Schlossberg a snowball’s chance in hell of becoming the newest Congressman from NYC.

Yep… it’s a longshot.  But a longshot isn’t zero.

He might not be the uniting candidate for the Democratic Party as a whole, but he has a few friends in high places with a track record of capitalizing on low blows.

It wouldn’t hurt to keep our eyes on that one.
