CBS News is back in the spotlight—this time for selectively trimming key remarks from DHS Chief Kristi Noem during her recent appearance on Face the Nation.
The controversy centers around Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an MS-13 member with a violent past involving spousal abuse and crimes against children. A federal grand jury in Tennessee recently handed down an indictment accusing Garcia of “transporting undocumented migrants within the United States.” He now faces one conspiracy charge for moving aliens and another for unlawful transportation of undocumented individuals.
After completing a prison term in Tennessee, a judge ordered Garcia removed from the country, designating Uganda in East Africa as his destination. But before that deportation could take place, an Obama-appointed judge intervened, halting his immediate removal.
When Noem sat down with CBS on Sunday, she sought to highlight the Trump Administration’s crackdown on dangerous foreign criminals, using Garcia as a clear example. Yet the network only aired a portion of her statement—cutting her off just as she began listing his long record of offenses.
In the version CBS broadcast, Noem’s remarks were limited to:
“[And] the one thing that we will continue to do is make sure that [Abrego Garcia] does not walk free in the United States of America.”
But what didn’t make it to air was far more damning. In the excluded footage, she elaborated:
“This individual was a known human smuggler, MS-13 gang member, an individual who was a wife beater and someone who was so perverted that he solicited nude photos from minors and even his fellow human traffickers told him to knock it off. He was so sick in what he was doing and how he was treating small children. He needs to never be in the United States of America and our administration is making sure we’re doing all that we can to bring him to justice.”
By omitting this full description, CBS left viewers with only a sanitized snippet of her comments—sidelining the full scope of Garcia’s alleged history and the administration’s message about dealing with such offenders.

This all comes on the heels of ABC News getting busted just this morning!
When will these corrupt news organizations ever stop?
Enough is enough!
BREAKING: ABC News BUSTED For Deceptive Editing In New Interview?
Big credit to @TracyS1230 on X for some eagle eyes...
I'm not saying I know 100% for sure about this, but I am saying it sure does look like ABC News just got busted for deceptive editing and perhaps splicing together two different video clips in their recent interview of Wes Moore.
Watch as Moore appears to be talking in the video but there's no audio of his voice.
The only audio and video are of the interviewer lady speaking.
So why is Moore's mouth moving?
And yes, I can't pass up an opportunity to work in a classic joke here:
Q: How can you tell when a politician is lying?
A: When their lips (or mouth) are moving.
But in all seriousness, why is his mouth seemingly moving while she is talking?
And why in the world would you need to splice together clips like that?
Watch here and see for yourself:
ABC editing?
Did ABC splice two shots together?Watch Governor Wes Moore's head closely as he gets grilled for lying about getting a bronze star.
It sure looks like he is talking while the question is being asked.
What do you think explains this? pic.twitter.com/wRLdEs4rSu

Sure does look strange to me!
What do you think?
And getting lost in all of this is the fact that it's a pretty good interview!
This lady did not let him off the hook, proving quite clearly that he repeatedly lied about getting a Bronze Star from the military.
Which means I guess our joke was right again:
Q: How can you tell when a politician is lying?
A: When their lips (or mouth) are moving.
What a total piece of trash this guy is!

TRANSCRIPT:
Are you claiming you had a Bronze Star in 2006 when you were applying for a job? Why did you do that?
Well, as I, I think it's, uh, I'm, I'm deeply proud of my service to this country. And I know my soldiers that I served with are deeply proud. And, uh, and the veteran community is as well. And I think it's pretty common knowledge and, or, you know, common belief that when your commanding officers and your superior officers tell you, "Listen, we put you in and we've gone through everything, so as you're going through your application, include it." I, I included it.
And I didn't think about it. But in 2008, on PBS, they said, they introduced you to Gwen Ifill saying you had earned a Bronze Star Medal. That's 2008. In 2010, you were on the Colbert show when he said you had a Bronze Star. You did not correct him.
You had to know you did not have one then.
Well, it was, I, I did not go back and, you know, go back and tell the Pentagon, "Hey, I was told to put this on my application," and didn't. And honestly, at that point, I—
But we're not, I'm not talking about the Pentagon. I'm talking about you knew in those interviews you did not have one.
No, because e- e- even at the time of those interviews, it wasn't something that I even thought about.
When I came home, it wasn't something I even thought about. I didn't think about the fact that, "Hey, I wonder if my paperwork processed out." Right now, I'm thankful that the military, after they found out that the paperwork was lost and didn't process, that they came back and awarded me the Bronze Star.
ADVERTISEMENTSo I cr— I, yes, I do have— Yes, in 2024. So I do have a Bronze Star that I earned in Afghanistan, and a Combat Action Badge that I earned in Afghanistan. So I'm proud of that, but that's not why I served.
And I—
But do you, do you regret not correcting when you were introduced that way?
I mean, I, I don't regret not going back and consistently looking over my, my service records. I don't. I'm thankful for the service I did. I'm grateful for the fact that I had the opportunity to lead soldiers in combat.
