As the WLT Report previously reported, legendary wrestler Hulk Hogan died at the age of 71.
According to initial reports, Hogan, who is considered one of the best pro wrestlers of all time, died from a cardiac arrest event that occurred at his home in Florida.
Now, an autopsy report has revealed that Hogan died from an acute myocardial infarction, which is known more commonly as a heart attack.
Page Six provided more details on the cause of Hogan’s death and revealed he was battling cancer too:
Hulk Hogan’s official cause of death has been revealed.
Page Six can exclusively confirm that the pro wrestling legend died from acute myocardial infarction — commonly known as a heart attack — which is when blood flow to the heart muscle is suddenly blocked, causing tissue damage, per the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center.
The documents obtained by Page Six also show Hogan had a history of atrial fibrillation (AFib), which is a heart condition characterized by an irregular and often rapid heart rate.
Per the records, the former WWE superstar also had a history of leukemia CLL, a type of cancer that affects white blood cells called lymphocytes.
It does not appear that it was public knowledge that Hogan, born Terry Bollea, had ever battled cancer.
His manner of death was ruled natural. The Pinellas County Forensic Science Center provided the latest updates in a cremation summary approval report.
A spokesperson for the medical examiner’s office tells Page Six, “I am not aware when Mr. Bollea will be cremated, only that we received a request for cremation approval.”
According to the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center, Hulk Hogan died of a heart attack, the report also revealed he had been secretly battling chronic lymphocytic leukemia, a form of blood cancer.
There was no public knowledge of the blood cancer until this point.
