Rosie O’Donnell Tries To Blame President Trump For Texas Flooding: ‘Shame On Him’

Former talk show host Rosie O’Donnell has proven she’ll do just about anything — including self-deporting to Ireland — to make her disdain for President Donald Trump known.

The two have been embroiled in a long, public feud that predates Trump’s entry into the political realm, and O’Donnell kept it going this week in response to the deadly flooding that has impacted Texas in recent days.

While she began her social media post by paying lip service to the victims, her diatribe soon segued into an anti-Trump rant, as Breitbart reported:

O’Donnell continued to claim that Trump has put the United States “in so much danger” with his “horrible decisions” and by signing the Big, Beautiful Bill into law, adding that “people will die as a result.”

“What a horror story in Texas,” O’Donnell said. “The flash floods in Texas, the Guadalupe River, 51 missing — 51 dead, more missing, children at a camp. And, you know, when the President guts all of the early warning systems and the weathering forecast abilities of the government, these are the results that we’re going to start to see on a daily basis. Because he’s put this country in so much danger by his horrible, horrible decisions and this ridiculously immoral bill that he just signed into law.”

“Shame on him,” O’Donnell continued. “Shame on every GOP sycophant who’s listening and following the disastrous decisions of this mentally incapacitated POTUS.”

O’Donnell’s post comes as the death toll has risen to 70 people, with Kerr County officials revealing that there were 59 deaths, including 38 adults and 21 children, according to NBC News.

Eleven children from Camp Mystic, a Christian summer camp for girls, are reported to still be missing. The camp had been hosting roughly 750 girls.

Her deeply partisan response to the Texas tragedy sparked widespread criticism on social media:

Of course, she’s not the only one who tried to find fault with the Trump administration in the wake of the deadly flood.

As the Daily Caller reported, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt made quick work of one reporter who questioned why emergency alerts were sent out “while people were likely sleeping.”

The press secretary read through the timeline of the several flash flood warnings issued days and hours before the floods hit the affected areas.

“But there were early and consistent warnings and again, the National Weather Service did its job on July 2, there were initial notices of potential weather and flooding risks were issued. On July 3, escalated notices [were] issued throughout the day with a flood watch issued a 1:18 p.m., and then later, at 6:10 p.m. on July 3, the Weather Prediction Center warned of excessive rainfall in a high likelihood of flash flooding,” Leavitt said.

O’Donnell’s latest post came on the heels of an Independence Day-themed video that tacitly referenced another American revolution:

What’s your view on that?
