President Trump Warns Communist NYC Mayoral Candidate Zohran Mamdani: “We Will Have to Arrest Him”

After his visit to Florida’s new ‘Alligator Alcatraz’ immigration detention center today, President Trump answered many questions from the press.

One of those questions, asked by Benny Johnson, was about the Muslim Democratic-Socialist mayoral candidate for New York City, Zohran Mamdani, who has been vocal about wanting to prevent ICE from doing their job.

President Trump’s response was very clear: “We will have to arrest him. We don’t need a communist in this country…”

For a little background, Mandani recently said in his acceptance speech after winning the Democrat primary that is he is elected mayor, he will “stop masked agents from deporting our neighbors.”

The New York Times reported:

In a soaring speech on a Queens rooftop in the early minutes of Wednesday morning, Zohran Mamdani, the presumptive winner of the Democratic primary for mayor of New York City, promised to lift up New York City’s working class and serve as a model for the future of his party.

“A life of dignity should not be reserved for a fortunate few,” Mr. Mamdani said. “It should be one that city government guarantees for each and every New Yorker.”

He promised to use his power to “stop masked ICE agents from deporting our neighbors,” vowed to make buses “fast and free” and pledged to freeze the rent on regulated units.

Translation: he will illegally obstruct ICE agents from deporting illegal criminals.

If Mamdani is elected mayor and carries through with that promise, then President Trump is right: he should definitely be arrested and prosecuted.

That goes for anyone who impedes immigration authorities, politician or not.

If Zohran is elected mayor of NYC and blocks ICE agents, he will be arrested. Any politician that blocks ICE should be arrested.
